We all know that the Packers stick pretty closely to certain profiles at most positions. So this thread is for cataloguing the guys whose profiles scream "Packer." These aren't necessarily players you're high on, though you could be, but more guys who fit the bill of a typical Green Bay selection.

With so few receivers actually doing a full workout, one guy stands out as providing all of the metrics:

Chimere ****, Florida

6'1" 196# 32+" arms
4.34 forty with 1.51 split
38.5" vert and 10'8" broad
6.82 3C and 4.27 shuttle
9.65 RAS

42/783/2 (18.6 YPC) in 2024

He and Badger were the only Gator pass-catchers above 266 yards-- he had 27% of the team's receiving yards.

It's funny that basically 3 guys both did all the testing and qualify as Packers types and two of them were at Arkansas.

Right! Teslaa was on my Day 3 radar and I have graded as a 6th(+) but Armstrong I haven't even watched anything on and might have to if time allows.

Jalen Travis OT from Iowa State is a guy I'm intrigrued by and wonder if the trends of bigger OL might get GB to come off a hair physically of their norms...

6'7' (touch taller than they normally draft)
339lbs - 9 pounds too high but the height makes his build very similar to what we like

10.5 inch hands - massive
34.88 arms - some of the longest in the draft
35 inch vertical and 904 broad - both are elite level type testing...

If at the pro day for Iowa State he does the shuttle and 3 cone and does as well as his profile indicates - he for sure will clear the thresholds GB has there too.

Thanks to Dantes and Ty for all this great info ahead of the draft.

Question - when you talk about a "Packer-type guy", is that strictly by measurables - I think they like CBs to be at least 5'10" (although I think that needs to be revised to 6' plus). Just one example. I'd just like to get your take on what is the "Packer-type" by impact positions like WR, CB, Edge, DT. Thanks.

It's trait tendencies is all. None of us have internal knowledge if there are other aspects, but the last three decades show very consistent tendencies we typically operate in.

Minimum of 190lbs has been a thing we have not waivered from at CB specifically (drafted some guys for safety roles less) since Buckley in 92'

For OL these are the typical things our draftees have in common:

-6'3"-6'6"
-300-325
-32+" arms
-Sub 4.80 in the shuttle
-Sub 7.80 in the three cone

Thanks Ty, good info. I knew about the 190 lb minimum at CB. I recall they made an exception on height, by like 1/2 inch, to draft JA.

I guess this is to be expected, but players who last and have an impact are getting taller, weigh more than prior players at the position, and are fast. It's mind boggling to see a guy 6'5" 300 plus lbs run a sub 5 40-yard dash at the combine.

Personally I like CBs who are just over 6' and WRs who are 6'2" or higher, with the exception of slot guys who play small anyway. QBs are also getting bigger along the lines of Josh Allen, Jalen Hurts, and Anthony Richardson. It's hard to imagine an NFL with a QB under 6'.

The Packers have consistently done well on the OL, or at least that's my impression. Late round picks - like Bakhtiari, Walker, Tom - have really excelled. I hope Morgan lives up to his draft position.
