Best Packer balance since 2010. Now 2024-25 boasts an NFC field that is leaning slightly stronger than an average season imo. So communicating Team rankings going into Postseason are NOT indicative of an automatic Win. It IS indicative of having the necessary formula to Win games at a higher level.

Luke Getsy is back in town, spilling the beans about the Bears offense.

Given that he was dismissed from the Bears almost a year ago, he probably won't be a ton of help to the Packers, but you never know.

The latest 2 Division matches are more accurately depicting where we really are ON THE ROAD
1. A walk off FG In a Tie game
2. A walk off 3rd Completion with a 2 point margin expiring the Gameclock.

I’d say we’re pretty darn close to Elite. If those guys are a 9.0 we’re an 8.5

The Lions are probably the closest to ELITE in the NFC as it gets. Given their injuries this season, it is scary to think what they would be capable of if they had the kind of health the Packers have had.

The Eagles, like the Packers, are much improved over Week 1. Unfortunately, I think they have improved more than the Packers have.

If I had to pick an opponent to play out of the Lions, Eagles and Vikings, I would say we have the best shot at beating the Vikings.

As far as the whole "How The Packers would have faired if Love hadn't got hurt", we need to put that behind us. He is healthy now. More importantly, and not to put too much pressure on him, but the Packers playoffs will rest on him. If he plays inconsistent and not at a high level, we get knocked out of the playoffs. That said, it is up to Matt L. to set Jordan up for success. Get solid play calls in FAST and let the offense break the huddle quick and allow Jordan to look over the defense with more time on the play clock than what has been happening ALL F'ing season. This may not seem like a big deal to casual fans.....but damnit, when the huddle breaks up at under 12 seconds or less, THAT is not enough time for Jordan as well as the other 10 players to look over the defense and adapt.

Final note to MATT......GDamnit Matt, roll Jordan out more, give him a chance to use his F'ing legs! Don't be afraid of him getting hurt (in the playoffs), because if you play him "safe", you are going home.

They are a very young team, often making very young mistakes. Give then another year or 2 of seasoning and I think as long as Gute can keep the core team together, this could be a very good team.

But in 2023, the Chiefs were the 5th youngest team at 25.5 years old and they won the Super Bowl. Does that extra 0.5 matter that much? I've seen this mentioned multiple times. It's true that the Packers are the youngest team in the NFL with an average of 25.0 years old. But in 2023, the Chiefs were the 5th youngest team at 25.5 years old and they won the Super Bowl. Does that extra 0.5 matter that much? Also, the vast majority of this season's roster was also on the team last season when they almost made it to the NFCCG, so they have that experience going for them.

I think it depends on where your "youth is". Our defense is older than our offense and even with a new DC and 4-3 Defense, I feel that the Defense has improved over the season more than the offense.

Love is still inexperienced, for a starting QB that is supposed to be somewhat elite. Mahomes was in his 6th year of starting at QB for the Chiefs in 2023.

Also, the Packers receiving corp. and offensive line are all pretty young. If they stay healthy, I look for the Packers offense to make a much bigger leap in 2025. Not saying it still can't happen in the playoffs, but against playoff caliber teams, with solid defenses......give it another season.

“Well Rounded Teams Win Championships”. It was in response to the “Defense Wins Championships” argument. I did my own research and used all the SB teams through I believe it was 2017? It was very compelling evidence that SB teams rarely Won without a Potent Offense. There were some outliers with teams having an O or D outside the Top 10-12 area, but it was rare.

Yes, we are saying the same thing. I’m not displaying injuries to make excuses. Like I said we deserved to lose. If we lost? we weren’t the better team. That said everyone in here at times (including me) jumps on board a Packer Win and picks our team apart and says “if they didn’t play this player or that player” or “if they didn’t miss that FG or commit that Flag” we likely would’ve lost. It’s about HOW you won and lost in regular season that prepares you going forward. Very similar to 2008? I think it was where we lost a bunch of games by 4 points or less. Where did that season eventually lead?? That’s my point. It might not Bear fruit today, but I’m very confident margins in the Win/Loss column makes a different across season or two.

Our D is playing really good. Im actually very pleased with Hafley thus far. I can absolutely see GB adding a couple of pieces that fit his 4-3 and retaining our best players (bettering the 2024 feel) in 2025 and possibly 2026. I fully realize other teams get better also. We can’t control other teams though. We can only control closing the gap or even passing other teams’ improvements. We need to build upon our Pass Defense, but we have the foundation to do so.

I feel that what you said here pretty much sums up the Packers season. A young team that won some games that they could have lost and lost some games that they could have won. This to me is the sign of a young team.

Basically, the Packers will have to play about as mistake free as they can in the coming weeks to win and advance. They need to be on the positive side of turnovers, as well as penalties. Receivers can't drop catchable balls and Love needs to make better reads and throws. A lot of all of that is on the players themselves, but also on the coaches. It will take a big step-up in just about everything, for the Packers to beat the teams ahead of them and honestly, I would include a much healthier Rams team in that group too.

One advantage/disadvantage the Packers will have in the playoffs, besides the Commanders and Bucs/Falcons, they have played all the other teams in the NFC side of the playoffs, twice in the case of the Queens and Cubs.

Jaire was officially IR'd today. That gave the Packers 2 roster spots. They elevated rookie linebacker Michael Barrett and rookie safety Omar Brown from the practice squad to spots on the gameday roster for Sunday's home game against the Chicago Bears.

Yes. While admittedly when you put it that way it appears miniscule. Everyone is 6 months older right ? Not. I’m assuming the age variance is across a typical 53 on a Roster. So that’s 26.5 years of experience doled out into that KC Roster.

1. 50% of the entire KC Roster is 1 full year older and this half has an entire extra season of experience.

Or

2. 13 Players on the KC Chiefs we’re a full 2 years older on average than the 2024 Packers.

Or

3. A More likely scenario. There was
TWO KC veterans skewing it because they are each 30 and 33 years old.

Plus would also be 5 other KC players that are 2 full years older than 2024 Packer players.
+
4 more KC players have 1 extra year experience over the 2024 Packers.

That later scenario is a more realistic guess. It’s pretty significant if you give me that 26.5 years to dole out even randomly.

Wow! Feeling a little salty today? But I can't say i disagree.

Bears will always play us tough. I know they are in disarray, but they have always had a lot of talent. I expect we will win and we will play our starters for a bit into the 3rd quarter. Packers 24 bears 23

Doesn't it feel like some years we would have a team good enough to win the Super Bowl, but right now there are other teams out there playing on an otherworldly level?

I think the Lions offense is playing at an otherworldly level.

The other teams teams have capitalized on more key moments that the Packers have in order to get to 13+ wins. If we were Lions fans we would be moaning about the D, Viking fan worried about those close games in the last 6 weeks and Eagles fan worrying about Hurts.

Just the cold weather sinking in on the Midwest. Seasonal.
However, judging by the number of players out and with MLF wanting to get Jacobs and several others a rest the Bears could very well win this one.

My personal belief is nobody in our FO is going to advertise that we are being conservative. I promise you though if you are a + starter and you have a sore pinky toe you’re being held out. We have already Qualified and from a Seeding perspective we also don’t hold our own path to a 6th seed. It’s behind the scenes but we know who we are. Nearly Everyone outside of GB is discounting us at some level and that’s exactly the way I’d want to keep it. That was a Holmgren thing, he told the guys to let the media think we’re not good enough, be humble and quiet and go in under radar was his actual directive.

This week needs to be 1/2 practicing for Philly. Chicago is just a scrimmage

I hate to keep beating my drum, because Matt is a solid coach and has a good offensive mind. I just think he has mishandled Jordan a bit and it begins with Matt's play calling and lack of urgency to get Jordan and the offense to the LOS.
