Not the worst, but that dropped TD catch in NE was hard to watch. Not like he has the worst hands ever...just not as reliable.

I don't mean to over simplify things, but in the last 2 games, look at sacks, hurries and hits on the QB (for and against) and you pretty much have the answers to our losses. Until we get an O line and a D line that can do what they are suppose to do, AR can't be AR and our DB's will continually get beat.
His hesitancy on making quick throws is mostly due to the fact that nobody is getting open when he is able to look down field and not scrambling around. The O-lines lack of being able to open holes for the run game is the second part of this. No running game allows the defense to not respect the line of scrimmage and devote its weapons to defending the pass.Yes OL has been a big reason, but AR has also been very hesitant on making quick throws. Instead he has held onto the ball, tried to evade the pass rush and gotten himself hit a lot due to our porous OL. It's party on AR too.

Sorry, Packers O-line has sucked the last few games and I'm not going to blame Rodgers for that. Give him a running game and pass protection and you will see what he can do.
Well, the primary reason for them being on the field for that many plays was their inability to get off it.
A lot of attention was give to the last offensive play of the Carolina game when Rodgers didn't see a wide open Cobb in the end zone, but that one play in a nutshell has been the problem on offense. Bulaga for whatever reason, steps back to try and block his man and immediately is going backwards, effectively shutting down the passing lane and forcing Rodgers off the route before he can see Cobb and release the ball.
I disagree, there are more problems with the offense than OTs taking a step back when pass blocking and Rodgers not forcing the ball. As we've talked about, it's Rodgers holding onto the ball too long. McGinn notes that in the first series at Carolina Rodgers held the ball for 6.6 seconds before getting sacked. That's not the OL's fault and while it may be the receivers not getting open enough there's no excuse for Rodgers taking a sack after that long. Rodgers has also been guilty of bypassing receivers open on shorter routes for a shot down the field. That's fine when the offense is humming along, but when they're struggling he has to adjust. We've talked about the offensive scheme not utilizing man-beater routes enough. We saw them line up trips to one side on a couple of occasions but not utilize its advantage. IOW, run the same kind of route Cobb and Jones ran on the goal line in the middle of the field - even have Rodgers roll out right. The middle of the OL - the "rock" of the OL since Linsley started at OC has been less than rock-worthy. IMO Linsley had his worst game at Carolina. In sum, I don't think that play represented a nutshell of the problems. Unfortunately the problems are more wide spread. The OL doesn't protect well, then it does and receivers don't get open. When they do, Rodgers' legendary accuracy evaporates, etc. It's almost a perfect storm of screw ups. The only constant has been the poor run blocking of late but that IMO is related to the other problems on O.A lot of attention was give to the last offensive play of the Carolina game when Rodgers didn't see a wide open Cobb in the end zone, but that one play in a nutshell has been the problem on offense.
Yep. Been there, done that. Moved the offense discussion here.can we unlock the Fire Capers thread now? I have a feeling it'll heat up after the game Sunday.
I think they need to create plays where he gets rid of the ball quick. That's how the Patriots have been able to fix their offensive line issues. They have no bodies playing and theur offense isn't having any trouble scoring. Hence, they've adjusted to the hand they've been dealt. We are too damn stubborn and are asking players to play the plays instead of creating plays for the players strengths.
I agree, I see too many other teams doing more with less to accept the Jordy injury as a valid excuse. Injuries happen in the NFL, adapt and overcome. As long as #12 is on the field, this should be a top 10 offense.
I don't know what to say about the offensive line, but they're not as bad as people are making them out to be. Actually its a line that was really really good last year. So they're not going to be making any changes there. It's been a part of the problem, no doubt, but there's a lot more to it than the line.
It is the same line, and last year it wasn't till about week 6 or so, when they finally started playing up to par. and this year they are about what they started the last year as. They can play better. Will they? I don't know why, but they certainly look much worse than when they finished the 2nd half of last year.I agree, I see too many other teams doing more with less to accept the Jordy injury as a valid excuse. I'm not sure what you mean by "running a unit" but the last half of last season, they were "handing guys off" to each other in the passing game and their run blocking was pretty good. So if the players have all of a sudden become bad, I guess Campen has all of a sudden forgot how he coached last season.I tend to think that while James Campen does a good job coaching up individual players that he's never been very good at running a unit.
