The Cowboys just used their first round pick on a guard and celebrated like they just drafted Jerry Rice.

The Cowboys witnessed one of their most prolific players over the last decade be a guard picked early. Booker will start for a decade plus likely again for them.

With Booker that early everything slides. Seems like he was expected to go a little later. Then again, you'd know better than me . . .

Booker was the most prolific guard folks saw essentially so most thought he'd go Day1 it was just a matter of when. The pick mildly surprised me but makes a TON of sense fit wise for them...Cowboys go smart and not flashy.

Kenneth Grant picked by Miami mildly sucks. I really loved his fit with us but never personally saw it happening.

WE ARE IN THE RANGE 15-19 WHERE I PREDICTED WE COULD TRADE UP FOR EGBUKA OR EZEIRUAKU.........I'D NOT BE MADE AT ALL....

IF the Falcons stay I don't think it is Egbuka if they go WR I think Burden or Golden is better fit for them.

I predict they go Shemar Stewart though here...

So when Justin Tucker retires should the Ravens take a kicker in the first round?

Nope. Positional value isn't there of course. Elite guards have serious value, it's just true.

Would I necessarily do it that early - nope, but for them and their needs it makes sense.

With every new pick to come in, the chances that Will Johnson JD Barron, Egbuka or Harmon could be available at 23. Trading down is starting to look more feasible too.

Gute loves to roll the dice in round 1. Will Johnson is just the kind of player Gute loves to pick. He just doesn't seem to care about injury history in college. He took Musgrave in round 2 and he had plenty of injuries.

While I'd like a **** pick in the form of a WR or DL help if it was Maxwell Hairston wouldn't mind. Seems like he would be an infectious personality on the team.

Hairston can fly. He could give you a couple of good years but would have a difficult time lasting very long because he's small. He reminds me a lot of Alexander.

I don't believe he has ever done this on Day1 however...I don't doubt Gute would do it IF his medical team gives him a higher enough percentage chance he regains what he has been before.

Another guard slides some guys down for the Packers. (Not that I don't think guards aren't worth it, but just don't see that as a Packer draft position so, any positions they don't need is a good thing)

I'm surprised that no pure DBs have been taken, and only one pure WR. We're going to have some good options at either position, even if we trade back.
