Watching him, looks like he could use a few Lbs and some strength. Not expecting a ton of impact this season but he’s got great tools to coach.

The defense is going to be a lot faster if they’re getting King, Alexander, Jones, and Burks out there together.
I think Jackson's speed is underrated. 4.42 unofficial in his first run at the Combine which was close to the official time, I'd say 4.43. He has the shuttle, cone and hops to go with it.

Both our ILB's are almost identical size.

Which is why i wanted a guy like edmunds or vander esch. bigger, more athletic beasts. But at least Burks is more athletic than either Ryan or Martinez.

I highly agree he will be gone tho by the time we pick at the bottom of the 4th

I am thinking they trade up again. They don’t need 7 day three picks.

I’d like them to use one of the comp 5th’s to move up in the 4th.

Good value on the trade, maybe a slight reach on taking him in the 3rd, depending on what scouting report you read of course. Didn't like giving up that 1st pick in the 4th, but the Packers must have thought Burks wouldn't still be around at #96. Burks was a guy that the Packers had a pre-draft visit with. The defense just got quicker.

They can use Ryan in base D and give him more snaps against teams that like to run the ball. Ryan gets a lot of crap from the fan base, but he's a decent player especially against the run.

I am not incredibly against Ryan. But I dont believe he is a guy we are giving another contract to and we need more athleticism across the board at lb.

Burks is a lot faster than any other LB on the team. He looks like he was drafted to be a coverage LB. Could be a decent pick if he's used correctly. With his speed, he may also be a good blitzer up the middle and be good on special teams. While he may never develop into a 3 down player, the Packers were desperate for speed at ILB to finally be able to cover rb's and elite te's. While I'm not excited about the pick, he may still help fill a glaring roster weakness.

At least we are actually drafting good players the more I think about Jackson was a absolute steal in the second round.. Alexander Jackson and a 1st next year looking good I’d like them to get a receiver tho I’d like Bryant but he is to much so I would like to see them sign Eric Decker and see how everything else plays out

That's not a bad price.
#88 = 150 points

#101 + #147 = 96 + 22 = 118 points

That's pretty good.

The Packers remaining picks: 1 in the 4th., 3 in the 5th., 1 in the 6th,, 3 in the 7th.

I would not be surprised if Gutekunst moves up again in the 4th. or trades for a second 4th. rounder.

Ryan is solid, and certainly doesn’t blow. That said, Burks is massive upgrade athletically. Don’t know much about his tape but he must be a guy Pettine and staff are very high on. The physical tools are there, now it’s on player and staff to develop.

I honestly wasn't expecting the Packers to find a starting WR in the draft, so I think signing a FA WR was always on the table. Would be nice to find a guy with some potential though. Then again, I have no idea what the Packers actually think of Allison, Clark or Yancey.
