It was shocking to me that the clock kept ticking, and that time was not called with 32 seconds left. Eberflus doesn't call time and Williams looked out of sorts spending too much time lining up the offence on the field. Finally the ball was snapped with around six ticks left on the clock and the game ended with the long pass hitting the turf. All teams practice these situations every week, don't they? Shameful.

Now do you guys understand and believe me that this guy is the absolute worst situational football coach that has ever been in the NFL and seriously blind Chimpanzee could do a better job coaching the team than this guy!!!!!
Just imagine what our team can be with this talent level(a top 5 pick and two picks between 33-40) and an actual coach who is not a detriment to the team!!!!

We are going to be a very, very very dangerous group of men next year.

This did display that The Lions are not unbeatable. That should’ve been either OT or a TD as time expired. Only Chicago would have both the QB + Coach not aware of the Clock. Inexcusable. Both should be embarrassed. They went around smiling and shaking hands like it was totally normal. The Bears literally just played the perfect game to beat Detroit and then surrendered the entire game in the last :30 sec
The Lions were flat when we played them last Thanksgiving. Hope they repeat it next week.

If the Packers are as sharp as they are so far tonight, then they might have a chance. I screwed up by picking a Miami win for tonight.:(
On a 4 day week I expect issues on both teams. The Packers did not have to travel and they appeared as if they were continuing where they left off Sunday. Now they have a 7 day window just like Detroit.

We did it last year and the year before in Detoilet. This is laughable.
We are fast approaching Roy "Tin Cup" McAvoy's 12 on the last hole of the Masters.
This effin guy is a deer stuck in the headlights of an oncoming diesel Mack Truck!!!!! It's really a statistical anomaly that this guy can lose these games like this. I'm completely baffled.
What I thought was just odd. Immediately after the finish everyone was just walking around hugging as if that wasn’t just the biggest screw up in 2024. I’m not even a Bears fan and I was a little ticked off at that ending. It was discouraging. Imo. You guys had a 80% chance of going into OT and a 40% chance of putting the Lions away as the clock expired with 6 points. Had it went OT I’d put the odds of a Bears Victory at 55%. The second half momentum clearly favored Chicago.

See I can live with a blocked FG, that can happen even to good teams. The Hail Mary was excusable but frustrating. This? This was worthy of an immediate Firing and if I did that myself? I’d resign

No doubt about it, the Bears need someone else running the show on the sidelines. There's some talent on the Bears, and they may well have one of the best QBs in the league. But, I do question whether anyone who is presently on the coaching staff will be around next year if they fire the HC. A new HC is going to want to bring in their own personnel, not someone who has been anointed by the GM as a guy who's untouchable. That would undermine his entire coaching staff.

They do need some help on the field as well, and they should have the draft capital and money for free agents that should help a great deal. But, with a new system, expect some hiccups along the way. It happens, and some of the Bears players haven't seen any continuity in how the team is coached over their entire time with the team.

One of the key elements they need to address is how well they protect Williams from injury. Right now, he's being treated like a pinata out there by defenses because the offensive line is porous, and the play calling horrible.

Next year? I'd think a 9 win season would make everyone in Bears country avoid going into hibernation by Thanksgiving.

I feel for ya man. Seriously. I do. The best thing to do is have guppy memory. I know how that works. I lived through the Packer 70s & 80s.
