Sure, just trade for Peterson. He's just sitting on the bench in NO waiting for someone to save him from the boredom and see his true potential. If it is an ACL I don't see the Vikings having the horse power to win the division.

No way a given for us to win North. Lions are looking pretty solid even if unspectacular. They're there for the long run imo.
They didn't last year.... We had to beat them in the last game of the season to win the division.
Those last 3 games were against playoff teams ... The 11-5 Giants, the 13-3 Cowboys and, the Packers. As I recall, they were competitive in those games. I would hardly call losing to those teams "imploding". Nobody here has said the Lions are a Super Bowl team, but overlooking them by assuming that they will implode is foolish.Well, the Lions lost the last three games of the regular season and were once again one and done in the playoffs though.

Ye, but they had like a two or three game lead on us before Rodgers went "Run The Table".
I think we all know that the Lions have a history of doing that.... but 2013 was a long time ago... and the Lions have looked like pretty solid team since the beginning of last season.I still vividly remember them falling apart in 2013 when the Packers were without Rodgers for eight games that season as well.

That is such a remarkably telling statistic. I couldn't believe it when it was mentioned a few weeks ago somewhere on TV.I understand that 2013 is a long time ago. The Lions haven't proven to be capable of winning big games since Stafford became their starter though having compiled only a 7-53 (.117, ranking 31st in the league) against teams that finished the season above .500.

FYI the Packers are third with a 27-27 (.500) over the same period.
Curious on where the Pats fall in that regard?
trubisky is on the lose now. the bears will have something to say now about who wins the norris. min losing cook for the year is a big blow to them. the nfc east and north may be the most competitive in the conference.
didn't say that specifically. said they'd have "something to say" about who wins the north. them pulling off a win or two against det or the Packers could mess up some plans.I highly doubt the Bears starting Trubisky going forward will result in them turning into a contender in the North this season.

I agree the Lions are a talented team but in my opinion won't threaten the Packers for the division crown this season.
The bottom part of that list is a huge indictment on Matthew Stafford. Not surprisingly the Patriots are #1 in the league with a .600 winning percentage. Here's the entire list:
1 Patriots 30-20 (.600)
2 Steelers 29-24 (.547)
3 Packers 27-27 (.500)
4 Broncos 27-33 (.450)
5 Seahawks 24-31 (.436)
6 Saints 23-31 (.426)
7 Colts 25-36 (.410)
8 Cardinals 21-32-1 (.398)
9 Falcons 21-32 (.396)
10 Bengals 23-37-1 (.385)
11 Cowboys 22-36 (.379)
12 Eagles 19-34 (.358)
13 Ravens 21-38 (356)
14 Chiefs 18-34 (.346)
15 Texans 20-39 (.339)
16 Chargers 18-38 (.321)
17 Dolphins 18-39 (.316)
18 49ers 19-42 (.311)
19 Vikings 17-42-1 (.292)
20 Panthers 17-44-1 (.282)
21 Raiders 17-44 (.279)
22 Giants 16-42 (.276)
23 Redskins 14-39 (.264)
24 Rams 15-48-1 (.242)
25 Jets 12-38 (.240)

29 Buccaneers 11-44 (.200)
30 Jaguars 8-55 (.127)
31 Lions 7-53 (.117)
32 Browns 7-61 (.103)
But it'll be an automatic upgrade from the dumpster fire that is Glennon...at least on paper.
They have consistently been upgrading their team. Good ground attack, good safeties, good TEs...they are actually a decent QB away from being a genuine challenger.
The bottom part of that list is a huge indictment on Matthew Stafford.
Wait... what? We're talking about the Lions right? Good ground attack? Safeties? Tight ends?
Their QB is far and away the best thing they have going for them.
I'm confused.
