So how does it work? If a team claims him but he won't play for them (why risk covid if a junk team signs you) is he forced to play for them until the end of the year?
Don't get me wrong, I'm sure Kenny will play for whoever picks him up. But being picked up on waivers his contract is essentially guaranteed, so let's just say the new team that might not be a contender may not get their "money's worth". On the other hand sometimes players ball out to get signed by a contender the following year to a decent contract. It could go either way.
Honestly, this late in the year....only teams making a playoff push would be interested in him. Otherwise GMs/HCs would rather just continue to evaluate the talent they already have and address roster concerns in the Draft and Free Agency. If Kenny is playing for a loser, he's just a 5-week rental at best.
I read that the Texans fired one of their PR people and apparently Stills had some negative things to say about the way it was handled.
He seems to be very outspoken and not afraid to be controversial. I'm not saying he is a bad team mate but it appears that he can cause some PR nightmares for the team. I'd still like to see him in GB though.
"Winning cures everything."
I also don't think he's a bad teammate but he went to the Playoffs for the first time in his career last year. Knowing that he's all but guaranteed postseason action coming to Green Bay, I'm sure he'll be a model citizen.
