You've got Minnesota with quarterback controversy. You have to believe that they are going to find a way to screw that situation completely up.
I'm sorry that's hilarious, thanks for the chuckle!

I agree with PackAttack12. I think we're realistically looking at 2 wins over the next 4 weeks if I were just guessing. I'm also concerned like Poker that we win just enough games to keep Dom Capers another couple of years. Something's not working here folks and I'm willing to take a step back this year to have a shot at rebuilding into a top 10 Defense. I actually believe we could win a couple of Superbowls with Aaron if our Defense was just top 10. Just think for a second how good we could be if our Defense held opponents to say 18.5 points/game?

Just ask Tom Brady. He's never won a Super Bowl without the luxury of a top 10 defense.

Don't know about the last two years, but through 2015, only seven teams have won the SB with a D lower than 10

We go 2-2 through the next 4. Cleveland and Tampa are must win. Baltimore is a might win, Pittsburgh is a just don't get anybody killed game.

You know two years ago, I would've said get rid of Capers, but if given the right players he can create some magic. Thompson is just horrible at following recipes/wish lists. Ted Thompson is the dad that gets you "Option C" gift instead of your "Option A" gift for Christmas.

I agree with other posters: Sneaking into the playoffs to inevitably get slaughtered again isn't worth it. Murphy needs to see how awful this team is without Rodgers.

The playoffs are ALWAYS worth it when you have the GOAT behind center. That's about the most defeatist rhetoric I've ever seen. Playoffs not worth it? Seriously?

LMAO and so are we. You must’ve forgotten how close we were to losing to both the Bengals and Cowboys. If Hundley is your QB in those games this is probably a 2 win team right now.

The Cowboys are very good and always play close against us. I will not count the score of that game against the Packers when judging how good or bad they are with #12.

"If" they go 3-1 in their next 4 that would put them at 4-3 with Hundley instead of Rodgers starting.

That alone should be cause for optimism, in terms of a SB run, if they bring back Rodgers because all off-season I was told that the Packers were a 3-4 win team (over 16 games) if they didn' have Rodgers and were a contender soley due to Rodgers so I mean just imagine if we add a MVP QB to a team that's around .500 without him instead of him having to carry a 3-13 level surrounding cast to the NFCCG?

I don't get it. We are a cold weather team.

Sorry, but every timer people say "Baltimore Ravens" I think of their Week 3 score: 44-7.
how about a 40-0 score just 3 weeks ago?

This is the NFL and it's a new week. Learn to appreciate what the game of football is and enjoy the finer points of the game.

I never understand the "let's not win too much so someone gets fired."

First of all, as a fan I will never root for anything but a win.

Secondly, with Rodgers in the playoffs, anything can happen.

Finally, I highly doubt MM, TT, and company ever think, "We made the playoffs so free pass to all." Capers and staff should be and likely are evaluated every off-season.

Could do the opposite and say, "Look how close we were to beating the Saints (one the best teams right now) with Hundley." With Rodgers is probably a 1 loss team right now, but I know that's too optimistic.

And a close win is still a win by the way.

Looking ahead at our schedule, looking ahead at the Vikings schedule and looking ahead at the Lions schedule, I hate to break it to those of us that want to flop to see Dom Capers walk at the end of the season, it is very possible this team makes it to playoffs. I remember we sat at what, 4-6 at some point last season before AR "Ran the table". I had zero hope of playoffs, but if one thing the rest of the teams in the NFC North are REALLY good at doing, that is giving the packers the divison. If Brett can pull out 2 wins (Browns and Ravens/Tampa) and Rodgers returns for the Carolina game, we could go into Carolina 7-6 or 8-5. If anyone is clutch in December its AR. If he can come back pull off 3 wins (which would surprise absolutely no one) you are looking at a 10-6 ot 11-5 record. 11-5 is good enough for at least a wildcard spot, but most likely is the Vikings/Lions lose a handful of games coming up. Neither team has an easy road. Hold your breath kids, and make your bets. Never in my life have I bet on ANY of my teams (other teams are a very different story). But I just put $100 down on a Packers Championship. Crazy, I know, but $100 at 80:1 odds was kind of hard to pass up. Now if the stars align and we do see a ring, I win $8k that night. Ill take it. But I will also take anything that gets me excited about this team right now.

close wins only count when talking about other teams. Injuries are only valid if it involves another team. If one team loses a LT and gives up 6 sacks, well they lost their tackle. If GB is playing while missing 2 tackles and a guard with both back up tackles on IR and a back up QB, our GM sucks and the coaches can't get players ready to play LOL.

one day we can't beat a team, 2 seconds after we beat them, well it was only X team LOL.

I think it's as obvious as Martellus Bennett is a lying quitter and the day is long, there are more than a few fans that relish in every setback and loss. They love it, because nothing is more important than their doomsday scenario to get everyone replaced. Then it will all be better :)

Myself, I'd rather see every challenge overcome, even if it means another year of Dom Capers. Seriously. There are people on this thread right now that would rather our defense fall flat on their face every week, than see them succeed because they want Capers gone that badly. They'd rather Hundley look like crap, so they can feel validated about McCarthy and they'd be much happier if Clark and Martinez and Jones and Jones and King were busts, because it would really mean that Ted Thompson can't draft.

Then they have the gall to call themselves "realists" or not a homer or they took off the G&G colored glasses. Please, you're a pessimist afraid to get hurt. There are 31 losers every season in the NFL.

I've always found it odd when people would seemingling rather lose if it meant their narrative would be confirmed rather than have it dissproven by winning but yet still claim to be real fans.

God I hope this team goes 2-1 in the next 3 if only so I can see the mental gymnastics get played out "If they manage a .500 record without Rodgers

I agree with the "just sneaking into the playoffs" thing, I agree. However, I don't think the Packers are awful without Rodgers, just mediocre. I started a post https://www.packerforum.com/threads/2018-season-philosophy-change.76597/ that suggests the Packers get a RB that can dominate with and without AR12. Someone like Elliott, Gurley, or Bell; an offensive weapon. With an elite RB, I think the 2017 Packers would still be in the playoff hunt, instead of the fringes and falling.

Hundley beat the bears, lets not get carried away. I do not want to make the playoffs unless we can get to the SB, and this team isn't going to do that. I lost confidence in this staff 3 years ago, and they have done nothing to change my mind. Would you really like to line up our staff against BB in the SB? Not me, not even AR can overcome our pad level, gotta run the ball X amount of times regardless of how it is working coaching.
