I've never been a fan of any Oakland sports myself. I've been to baseball and football games in that "fair city," and it was in and out, no stopping to enjoy the scenery. Coming in from Sac, where we lived in the 'burbs. Not much of value I can say about the city, but then again, I never did anything except attend a few games.

I do know that's the city where they discovered that young children were getting lead poisoning from chewing on grass near the curb. Poisoned by exhaust from cars, spewing lead.
