I hope someone let’s Callahan start, we have seen the Hundley experiment, it’s a failure
This could be one of those cases where the back up to the back up to the starting QB gets hurt so that the back up to the back up to the QB gets to play.

Mathews has to go. He's done. Never healthy and getting lazy IMO. I've always liked Jordy. I wonder if he's been hurting more than he shows, again. Cobb is still valuable IMO. It's obvious the receiving corps is tired of running their butts off on routes and having balls 10 yards away from them. Hundley is a dud, period. McCarthy is a dud for believing in him.

HHCD is playing too deep. By the time he comes up its too late. While some people want him gone, I think a competent d coordinator could get much more out of him.
I agree. Have not given up on HaHa. I think he could play well with a decent coordinator and position coach. Would like The Pack to pick up a short, speedy, quick slot receiver with great hands. Davis can be gone as far as I am concerned. And Jordy is not quick enough to be a real slot receiver. Won't get the YACs.

Noodlearm Hundley definitely has to get tossed and shoulda been traded this last offseason. Next season we must have an actual QB with a rocket arm in there in his place. And why should HHCD stay?

Maybe the 31 other teams knew he had a noodle arm and were not interested in trading for him. Makes me laugh at some fans who would not have traded him for anything less than a 1st rounder last off season. I bet they would be ecstatic to get a 7th now.

I was referring to when Thompson got an offer for him for another draft pick this last offseason. Not sure who it was but yeah someone was looking to get him. Unfortunately we got stuck with the incompetent QB because he wouldn't take the offer, but regardless of how much time is left on Hundley's contract, I'd go head and release and take the cap penalty just to get rid of him.

Hundley is not a starter. We all see that. He has shown a higher than most caliber of play from the backup position. He has won games (against less than stellar competition) and been competitive in others, on what I think most would agree to be a lackluster roster.

Hundley is a symptom, not the disease. I'm ok with keeping him as backup, to camp, and letting him complete for his job with fresh blood.

I’d like to see the signing of a veteran backup. Someone who has some sort of track record and can be a competent replacement if Rodgers goes down. Fitzpatrick is one option, and McCown is another.

He said he has three years invested in him. That thought is a little disturbing.
I had three years invested in an ex-wife too. Enough said. Change needs to come. Change is good. If you do not grow and change with the times you get passed by. Mccarthys presser last night was depressing. His defensiveness was scary to watch.

The stubbornness is back and its getting worse.

1. Brett Hundley
2. Trevor Davis
3. Lance Kendricks
4. HHCD
5. Josh Hawkins?

Plenty others I'm sure will pop up, but these guys have dragged the team down and as a Christmas present to all the fans must be tossed overboard and eradicated from the roster, PRONTO.

I wouldn't let go of any of these players. This year was pretty much lost after the AR12 injury and the inability of Hundley to win at least three games during Rodgers absence. That loss to Baltimore was the death kneel. Honestly, I like Hundley, he competes; however I don't think he inspires or leads particularly well. Last night, Hundley was making some good throws, but guys (other than the rookie Clark) were not putting in the extra effort. Its not solely his problem, but maybe on the team as a whole. The fatigue of a lost season showed its face last night. Just my opinion, outside of Rodgers, I don't really see any other leaders on the offensive side of the ball.

MM is stubborn, defensive, and reluctant to change. I agree. If he doesn't evolve as a coach or even want to, then change must happen.

That ship has sailed friend. Nothing at this point convinces me this guy knows a square peg from a round one, so he's just gonna keep on a shovin it in.

I agree with most of your statement. I think Matthews is overvalued, mostly due to his family name. Jordy Nelson in my opinion looks disenchanted with football. I don't think its fun anymore to him. He's accomplished so much, possibly more than he ever dreamed. He does look hurt, he's tough, and he isn't gonna complain. I respect that. Cobb is decent, he could even be elite; I don't think he was ever a good fit in this system. He'll bolt after the 2019 season, and sign a big contract elsewhere. I've soured on Hundley, I was rooting for him; but I can't ignore that Baltimore game. However, last night he was throwing fricking lasers (Dr. Evil voice) and guys outside of Michael Clark weren't making a concerted effort. Its probably best that Hundley seek a change of scenery, but if he stays; I think he'll better next season because of this season's experience.

Well, what you said on Hundley may be fair enough, but I still think we can do better with a Rodgers backup. And ... maybe I've been a bit overly tough on HHCD ... If he rebounds the way Davante Adams did from 2015.

I'll also say I am leaning in the camp of letting Clay walk, though I often wonder if perhaps he'd have enough left in tank to bring at least one more outstanding year to the table. I disagree big time though with the Jordy critics.

But those other three are absolutely worthless and contribute nothing to the roster.

Look at the make shift oline Hundley had during his stretch. Besides Adams, I'd say all of our receivers are under achieving. Bennett punked out. Literally all the running backs got hurt... defense was playing about as well as the offense.....

Having McCarthy tie one arm behind his back the first three losses sure didn't help...

He was streaky. But did you notice he was playing well enough to win when his team was comparable to ours? And did you notice his bad games were against dominant defenses? Refer back to our injury list on offense. If we had the same luck injury wise as the Vikings defense this year, our offense could have at least gave Hundley a fighting chance against them... but reality is, it was their tried and tested A team, against our make shift B team...

McCarthy stood by Hundley because there was 3 years of respect earned first hand. Yet many of you people see weakness and pounce. Not taking the disadvantages into consideration. And expect McCarthy to go off half cocked and start changing players as soon as the first sign of adversity shows up?

That's not how it works in the hardened world of the NFL.

We lost. McCarthy will take his lumps for it. I think capers will be moving along from this. And some players will be sent hiking from this... but I'm glad we have a coach who follows through with dignity, despite facing harsh criticisms.

Everyone can handle the good times. Not everyone has the character to handle the bad times, and not completely lose sight of the bigger picture. McCarthy is a great leader. Imo.

I agree McCarthy is better than what a lot of baggers give him credit for, but don't be too sure he wouldn't dump Hundley immediately if it was announced the Packers had a chance to bring in a west coast offense improved QB over him.

i'd say Hundley, probably one of the two starting wrs to make $ room for Adams, as for the D let the new D coordinator decide who fits his plan (he and the new GM have some things to talk about lol).

This year was even worse the 2010 championship season (and it was horrid), as far as injuries go.. with the difference being #12 effectively out for all but the first 5 1/2 games. Of course his value, is beyond measure, for all sides of the ball... but the way TT/MM/DC handled the 2012 campaign, left us all proud of the saying, "next man up"... they aren't going anywhere, nor would I want them to. The personnel needing to see the door, will be sorted out in the off-season/preseason.

With a healthy Rodgers, and a "normal" level of players lost to injury, the Packers are, and have been, legitimate Super Bowl contenders under current management/coaching, for near decade running. The standout complaint IMO, is the tendency to develop good DBs, and then not pay to keep them.

I certainly hope we got a speedy TE on the market in this draft because we must have a compliment to RR who will make up for what that worthless Bennett didn't do.

True. Although no important (divisional) wins. Barely beat Cleveland.
You stated he didn't win three games. I pointed out you were wrong. Now you moved the goalposts to who was beaten. Unlike college ball quality of win or loss does not affect the playoff seeding. The Steeler's loss to Chicago did as much to hurt their shot at HFA as did their loss to NE.
