Peppers doesn't address any of the Packers' most pressing needs.
I disagree. He can play some slot and can be the Swiss Army knife that Hyde was. He could also play safety with Burnett moving down and we picked up House already to play outside.

Peppers can cover, blitz and tackle. He would also be a weapon in the return game. He could follow in the steps of Woodson and could play Nickel. Plus covers us at safety with contracts coming up at the position.

Peppers is a big play waiting to happen. I would not be upset if he is the pick. I would rather have a pro bowl level player at a position of strength than an average player at a position of need.

With this draft being very deep at OLB and CB, it is highly likely at our first two picks the list of highest grade players available will have a few CBs and OLBs.

As some insist on denying, TT is adamant about taking the BPA on every pick.

He doesn't take BPA on every pick.

Are you talking about big plays on special teams? Because on defense, the kid doesn't really make plays. In the last two seasons, he's picked off one pass and he's forced one fumble. He got his hand on all of one pass last season, the pick, and it was a tipped ball off a receiver's hands.

Honestly, I think the kid needs to switch to offense.

To me, he's last years Darren Lee that everyone got all excited about. I dont' remember hearing much about him after the draft.

Darren Lee is a movie actor we don't hear much about ;)

But you are right about Darron Lee, PFF graded him the 2nd lowest of all the first round rookies that saw action last year. Not to toot my own drafting horn, because I don't have one, but he wasn't someone I wanted last year. My blind squirrel avoided a nut!

Surprised to hear that. The games I watched of him he was all over the field and seemed to me to have the 'It' factor.

I was surprised to. I think his electric ability with the ball in his hands has drowned out the issues on defense. Michigan basically schemed to keep him clean in that WILL spot so he wouldn't have to deal with blockers. So he made some tackles behind the LOS, but I don't see anything special about his game. Wish he'd switch to RB or WR and be a return specialists while he develops.

Well they do need to boast their secondary. If you know what I mean. May not be a CB.

I love the random "disagrees" without any actual feedback. Great conversation.

Out of the clear blue western skies...
Due to need and because of the synergistic relationship between the pass rush and pass coverage, I suppose it would be hedging a bet to wager that TT & Co. will take one of each with his first two picks. But I've got this funny feeling that he may stun a lot of people with his first two choices, maybe taking neither a CB nor an OLB until later rounds. It would be sooooo TT.

I agree that you disagree that it makes for great conversation.

Let's face it, some people are just disagreeable with anything said, unless of course, it's what they said. ;) If the mods will cut me a little slack here......personally I could care less about seeing that red X...as long as the person providing it, also provides a reason why. Seems like some posters just like to go after anything one person says by stamping them with the X regardless of content.

Yeah, my only complaint is that I want to know why so we can talk about it. Yaknow... like a forum.

Honestly, if they are someone who is just going to toss Red X's out like Halloween Candy and run, are they worth having a conversation with?

Would love to see a default in the forums, in order to give a red X, it opens up an automatic reply box, quoting the post you disagree with and only registering/posting when you type something in the box.

Just imagine the fun to be had if the entire forum group met up one day for drinks and a game of Paintball :whistling:
