There's really nothing wrong with passing the ball that much. The key is the type of passes. Screens and outlet passes work the same way, in slowing down the defensive pass rush. McCarthy has stretches where he is very good at utilizing these types of plays. He even employed Devante Adams in the quick out passes against Atlanta. It worked and forced Atlanta to start pressing Adams at the line. They then tackled Adams for a couple no-gains. The problem was that we should have recognized the press and sent the ball deep. Recognize and take what the defense gives you.

The Packers perfectly recognized that on the 58-yard completion to Nelson early in the game.

This will be a battle of the offences. Luck vs our secondary will be as murderous as Rodgers vs theirs.

Key will be our defensive line. They need to continuously pressure Luck and hurry him up. Give him time and he'll shred our secondary.

Packers vs the Colts. What do you call that game? The softies Bowl. Seriously, other than the Aints, are there two softer teams in the NFL? Neither defense can hold a lead and whatever you say about the Packers, they won't play four quarters. At some time most likely after they eat ice cream at half time they will wilt under the slightest pressure. Colts are no tougher so the kicker who manages not to hit the uprights will win the game for his team at the end.

A major agree with this.
An even slightly Gronkish TE would help as well especially in the red zone. I hope that is a priority in future planning.

I think we're going to see something similar to the week 3 Lions game. Hopefully we don't let up in the second half, though.

I think this has some similarities to the Falcons game- mostly in that I expect it to be high scoring. I expect a different result because the Colts aren't as good and we're home.

Out of the clear blue western skies...
This may be one of the only teams as depleted as the Packers and perhaps even more so. As long as they don't lose additional starters and key backups to injury the Packers would have no excuse for not prevailing, especially at home.

Jared Cook, Demetri Goodson (concussion), T.J. Lang, Damarious Randall, James Starks and J.C. Tretter didn't practice today. Randall Cobb, Clay Matthews, Ty Montgomery and Quinten Rollins were limited participants.

Personally I believe our Oline will be the the make or break area. I know Linsley is just as good if not better than Tretter there may be some rust coming back from the hamstring injury. Plus it seems Lang had been getting banged up lately and Barclay is a liability at best!

With Possibly netting several players like Monty or Cobb on Offense and Clay or Quinton on Defense, this should be a long day for Andrew Luck while Aaron's 3rd consecutive 100% passer rating unfolds at Lambeau

Hawkins or bust, perhaps.

The Packers are expecting Rollins to play vs. the Colts.

I'm not worried about Linsley replacing Tretter at all. If Lang can't play not having a decent guard backup might come back and haunt the Packers though.

This game reminds me a bit of the Atlanta game, the Packers are going to have to stop a pretty good QB from picking their secondary apart. Luck has been sacked 31 times already this season and the Packers are going to need to continue that trend to win. I hope Capers dials up more blitzes then we saw against Atlanta and doesn't let Luck get too comfortable in the pocket. If Hilton can't play for the Colts, that should allow less of what we saw the Packers having to do to stop Julio and free up guys to blitz on occasion.
