Was such a bummer to hear that news. Brewer baseball won't be the same without his voice! I actually enjoyed listening to a Brewer game on the radio, with him broadcasting, more than watching on TV.

RIP Mr. Baseball, I hope you are given a Great Seat Buddy, to continue to watch Baseball!

He'll always have the best seat in the house. No matter where he would be seated being next to him would make a day at the ballpark pretty darned special.

I can't watch baseball ... I always has the game on the radio in the garage. Many a game day sitting with the neighbors, in my garage, listening to the guy.

End of an era for sure. There was only one Ueck in sports. Hearing his voice was always the harbinger of spring. Nothing better than to listen to Ueck tell stories or explain the nuances of baseball during blowout games. I always looked forward to 11-3 games just to know Ueck would be at his best.

The soundtrack of my youth, was laying on the fold-down bed in the back of our dad's van (no seatbelts of course) driving back from somewhere listening to Bob Uecker on AM radio. The crackle while passing under each bridge... His voice was idealistic. His self-deprecating approach to baseball humor was perfect.
