GB has had a successful program for years, it does seem odd. You'd think they would want to continue that on.
I hope we're not heading into a long decline.

I think what’s worst is mediocrity, constant limbo.

Former players as coaches would instill the culture of winning.

It seems a lot of these coaches are focused on their next opportunity or not losing their jobs instead of solely focusing on the team.

Mahomes did beat the Bills with his legs.

He can win in any way and he's willing to do it.

Buffalo played tight, Josh Allen was anxious, and the Bills didn't lean on Cook.

Reid outclassed McDermott in every conceivable way, as did Mahomes over Allen.
Been wondering if maybe the Bills need a HC change. McDermott has underwhelmed me - at least with the team's playoff performance. Always the bridesmaid. Maybe not. I don't follow the Bills that closely.

But you're right about Allen being nervous, at least to start the game. He's human after all. Mahomes is from another galaxy. I wouldn't be surprised if he retires with 7 or 8 rings.

I have no problem at all. Go eagles
Yeah never thought I'd say this - I'd like to see KC win. I hate the Eagles that much. But on a scale from 1 to 10 on how much I care either way, it's like a -5.

Taking the emotion out of it, I'm convinced the team with the best D wins the SB. That would be the Eagles.

In some ways, the Eagles are who I wish the Packers were. They're a physical team that can beat you a number of different ways. I think a lot of people are turned off by the QB sneak where he's pushed forward. They're taking advantage of the rules that allow that. I think it degrades the game but as long as its allowed, smart teams will take advantage of it. The Eagles are the preeminent takeaway defense. Nobody punches the ball out better than they do. They've also figured out that hitting a kick returner high leads to more fumbles. They should be flagged more often on that play since it's frequently a hit to the head but they're getting the breaks. One other thing that's a huge feather in their cap. They demolished the Vikings in the NFCCG on their way to the 2017 SB.

On one hand, the Packers are the only NFL team to win three NFL titles in a row, granted, not in the SB era.
Our three titles in the 30s IMO are less impressive since it was just based on the best record to determine the league champion. It definitely matters, but in the 60s we had to beat the best teams when it counted to be crowned champion. The only difference "in the SB era" seems to make is that it includes the AFL, which is a weak argument IMO. You still had to beat the best teams to win the championship, regardless of whether the AFL was around and on par with the NFL.

I'd like to see that stay exclusive, but that's pride, and records are made to be broken.
I feel that pride too, although much like all of the greats who see their records broken, the fans should have the same attitude as the greats who see their individual records broken.

Maybe Packers fans should "pop the champagne" cork this year if Kansas City loses its bid for a 3-peat. Everyone in the state should crack a beer when the clock hits 0:00 at the end of the Super Bowl in order to celebrate just like the '72 Dolphins do each year when the last undefeated team loses.

We can all root for Andy Reid. Good guy who has gone through a lot and was a part of bringing a SB trophy to Green Bay.

My only, ONLY reason for not liking the Chiefs is that I can't stand seeing Brittany Spears every time Kelsey scores a TD. It makes me want to puke. It was cute for the first game or too, now it's just pathetic. Show me Travis' mom cheering, or somebody else's parents/family celebrating when their child does something great.

I have to admit too I somewhat envy the aggressive way they have addressed some of their needs. They had a need at WR...they go out and draft Devonta Smith and then the following year trade their #1 to get AJ Brown. Now they've got a strong case for having the top WR pairing in the league. Last year they saw a big need at CB/DB and they drafted Quinyon Mitchell in the first and traded up to get Cooper Dejean in the 2nd....and again now have one of the better CB pairings in the league and two frontrunners for DROY. They needed a RB and went out and paid for Saquon...for which at the start of the season everyone was saying "overpaying for a RB" and has changed to "one of the best FA signings ever".

Meanwhile I feel like often times we focus on going BPA to a fault....like if we were in their shoes a few years ago and had WR as our #1 need, there's no way we would ever take that approach. We'd probably draft BPA or trade down in the first to a better "value" pick, draft a mid-round WR who may or may not pan out in a few years, and the idea of giving up a first round pick in a trade? Perish the thought...

So I dunno. There's merits to both approaches in some ways but many times I'd wish we were a bit more aggressive in targeting our *current* needs - drafting and/or signing players to address those needs *now* (even if it comes at a higher cost) as opposed to players that *might* fill those needs a few years down the line.

I've mentioned this before, but it used to seem to me when we had TT that we would often have an obvious glaring need, and Thompson just wouldn't address it. He'd expect some youngster to step up or pick up some UDFA.

And we really have to "thank" the Giants for letting Saquon Barkley go. The only good that might come of it is hopefully he can help them beat the Chiefs (I hope so, anyway, as much as I hate the Eagles). Really, the Eagles only have one Super Bowl, it wouldn't be the biggest disaster if they won.

Don't watch the games and not sure who the current entertainers are, but isn't it Taylor Swift and Kelce?

I just can't do it. "4th and 26" is still fresh, even after all these years.

That said, I've always believed that 9 times out of 10, the team with the best D wins. That's the Eagles, although the Chiefs D is also very good.

I really don't care that much if KC wins 3 SBs in a row. Regardless, they are on very solid ground in surpassing the 6 SB wins for the Pats and Steelers, whether they add a 4th this year or not.

And Eagles' fans are awful. It would be painful to the team that fired Andy Reid to lose to him twice.
I can't stand the Eagles, and I also don't care much about the Chiefs winning 3 in a row. Some team is gonna do it eventually.

The Chiefs already have 4 Super Bowl wins - they won Super Bowl IV. Could they win 3 more during Mahomes' career? That seems to be asking a lot, but maybe they can do it.

Did you hear Belichick's comments earlier this week? He said they should rename the Lombardi Trophy to the Tom Brady Trophy. If Mahomes can win 3 Super Bowls in a row, that puts a dent in Brady's GOAT argument, because Brady never won 3 Super Bowls in a row. And the more Super Bowls Mahomes wins, the less likely they will rename the Lombardi Trophy, because they wouldn't know what to change the name to - the Brady Trophy or the Mahomes Trophy.

It'd also be fun to see Brady feeling some angst - he just retired 2 years ago and isn't even in the Hall of Fame yet, and there's already another QB threatening his GOAT status.
