Combination of a great coach, upper echelon HOF QB and HOF TE seems to be the trick for a dynasty. Both the Pat's and Chiefs take what the defense gives them. They don't force throws and won despite not having great WR'ers. Both teams gave good defenses and adequate special teams that don't blunder away football games. I thought the Bills played way too much zone last night. You have to make Mahomes beat you with his legs. He had a lot of wide open receivers on rather short routes that were easy completions. Andy Reid will take that all day long if you give him that.

The Bills D plan was screwed when CB Benford left the game in Q1. They had to change their D to cover for his absence & it really hurt. The Bills effectively removed Kelce but that allowed Juju to run free.

At least some of NE's championships were spread out over time. The Chiefs might end up being even worse than the Patriots. Mahomes could end up with eight rings or more.

Since the cap was put in place (I forget the year) and Pete Rozelle created parity, I never thought a team could go on runs of dominance like the Pats and Chiefs. The law of averages says it just shouldn't happen.

Crazy, looking at KC's cap #'s on OTC. Their top 8 paid players account for $200mil of cap, the bottom 43 account for the remaining $64mil. Great GM'ing & coaching to amass & coach-up young, former castoffs into a well oiled machine, EVERY year.

For comparison, GB's top 8 paid players account for $153mil, with remaining 43 accounting for $76mil.

They picked up Kareem Hunt in week 4 I think. Shows what a solid organization can do with players.

All I can attribute it to is 1) great and consistent talent selection and 2) great and consistent coaching. And by "consistent" I mean year after year, ad nauseam.

Seems to me that's a lot like what Belichik used to do. Aside from Brady, I don't think there were ever more than 5 or 6 players on that team who were well-known names.

That's my recollection as well 13. And even those other 5 or 6 key players changed out over time. The constants have been Brady and for KC, Mahomes. Pretty amazing. A machine for producing SB winners.

As much as I don't want to see the Chiefs win another SB, I can't stand the Eagles. Maybe I'll just listen to some old Stones' music on SB Sunday.

I've been hearing a lot of talk from sports commentators about some of the bull's droppings calls against the Bills last Sunday. But in the end the Chiefs made the plays and Buffalo didn't.

I just can't do it. "4th and 26" is still fresh, even after all these years.

That said, I've always believed that 9 times out of 10, the team with the best D wins. That's the Eagles, although the Chiefs D is also very good.

I really don't care that much if KC wins 3 SBs in a row. Regardless, they are on very solid ground in surpassing the 6 SB wins for the Pats and Steelers, whether they add a 4th this year or not.

And Eagles' fans are awful. It would be painful to the team that fired Andy Reid to lose to him twice.

It's hard to cheer for either team. On one hand, the Packers are the only NFL team to win three NFL titles in a row, granted, not in the SB era. I'd like to see that stay exclusive, but that's pride, and records are made to be broken. But that doesn't matter. The Yankees 20 something WS wins goes way back as well.

I'm just following my hatred of the Eagles, which is second only to the queens.

Ben Johnson is adding Al Harris, former Packer DB & more recently Dallas' DB coach, to be the new Bear's DB & Passing game Coordinator. Great hire for them, not so good for we Packer fans.

I wonder if former Green Bay players don't want to return to the organization for coaching or front office or if the organization doesn't want them back as contributors.

Al Harris was a great player and is an ascending coach, Green Bay never made a call?

He would've been a great addition to the staff.

Mahomes did beat the Bills with his legs.

He can win in any way and he's willing to do it.

Buffalo played tight, Josh Allen was anxious, and the Bills didn't lean on Cook.

Reid outclassed McDermott in every conceivable way, as did Mahomes over Allen.

GB has had a successful program for years, it does seem odd. You'd think they would want to continue that on.
