We'll draft a WR at some point. We always do it seems like. Probably a 7th rounder.

Oh no doubt. My bet is like I said unless someone crazy drops TT doesn't turn to WR before the 4th and I could see him turn to TE well before he thinks WR.

I don´t think it´s a sure thing the Packers will draft a WR this year. I´d rather have Thompson bring in some undrafted free agents to compete with Jeff Janis and Myles White for the fifth spot on the roster.

With the 5 WRs already set, I think we are going to skip that position this year in the draft

I don't think the 5 WRs are set by any means. The only proven guys on the roster at the moment are Cobb, Nelson and Adams. Abbrederis needs to prove he can stay healthy before the team should actually count on him and that's not to mention that he hasn't actually proven he can play at an NFL level (concussion history and then he gets injured pretty much right away in the NFL). Janis is all potential at this point and I don't really know enough about White other than me not knowing much about him means he probably has shown much to this point (not saying he can't, just that he hasn't).

So, yeah, I would imagine that WR is a position Thompson would look at. This year's draft is supposed to be pretty deep at WR so I wouldn't be shocked if Thompson goes WR in the second or third round.

It depends on how free agency works out for the Packers but at the moment there´s no reason to draft a receiver in the second or third round as the team is lacking starters at NT, ILB and CB as of now.

I guess we'll see how ted feels as I would be shocked to see him draft a wr high in the draft. I mean he could draft a wr late with the idea of them competing for a 5th spot at wr.

Wr is probably the least needed position to be upgraded on this team.

Let me be clear, I'm not saying the Packers SHOULD draft a receiver early, just saying the receiving group isn't so stacked that you'd take receiver off the board entirely.

Injuries happen, how excited are most people about White or Janis being the third receiver in the event of an injury?

I think we'll draft a WR in round 6 or 7...but we wont draft one early on day 1 or 2.......I just don't see it. I think this will be an extremely defensive heavy draft for us.

Im fine with either of them being the 5th WR on the team. Stressing about injuries doesnt do any good as the offense is the best in football.

Those 2 WRs go down like you are suggesting? Well I guess Cobb, Rodgers, Nelson and Lacy see more touches.

Just like I wouldnt draft a #3 RB like some suggest we do in round 1, I wouldnt draft a WR early for the same reason.

If a Cobb or Nelson like player drops to us in round 2, I'm all for it if they are rated much higher than need positions.

I still hold out some hope for Myles White.

Myles White actually had a pretty nice game vs. the Vikings in 2013 (five receptions for 35 yards) in one of only two games in which he got significant playing time. I think I would be fine with either him or Janis being #5 on the depth chart.
