I would be fine with Thielen, but he’s already mulling retirement. Not sure if he even stays if he’s going to be willing to start over somewhere new again at his age.
I actually don't want Thielen either. I want that type of WR who worked his **%**#** off to be a good WR, is a veteran with a strong head on their shoulder, and still has some tread on the tires. That's the kind of player that our WR group needs as a mentor.

Think of it like training in your new hunting dog with the old hunting dog. Right now we've got a pack of puppies running around, scaring all of the ducks, but never quite doing the job 100%.

Agree. As long as that old dog, doesn't think he's top dog. The Packers need to find a Charles Woodson type of guy at WR and CB. Maybe not at the top of their game the last few seasons, but know how to play with professionalism and hard work, which rubs off on the younger guys. Even Woodson improved on his previous seasons when he became a Packer. Probably reinvigorated him.

While I have said I don't think Davante will be back in GB, on the right deal, he would make an excellent addition to the receiver room. I just don't think GB is a place he wants to land again, mainly due to his family.

I wouldn't rule out 32 year old DeAndre Hopkins for the Packers.

I'd be fine with Davante if it was a good deal for everyone. That someone is out there. It's all about whether Gutekunst is willing to make the moves to clear up a roster spot and spend the cash on a veteran.

We definitely don't need Stefon Diggs.

Agree on Diggs. Once very talented, but it sounds like he isn't a locker room guy that you want. Gute is smart enough to not bring guys like Diggs to GB.

Nothing too earth shaking in Gutes final press conference. He did stress that the Packers might be young, but that doesn't mean they aren't experienced.

I still think the wiser money is spent on CB or EDGE and see if MVS will come back on a respectable two year deal.

Everyone on the young Packers roster is a year older. I concur on bringing in a seasoned pro at WR but he doesnt have to be a tippy top tier guy. If Adams wants to be that guy at the end of his career that would be awesome but I dont see it. MVS was a weak #2/#3 2 years ago so we don’t need that - at all - no animosity - jes sayin

First coaching move yesterday. DL Coach Jason Rebrovich was fired. Rebrovich was the team’s outside linebackers coach for Joe Barry in 2022 and 2023. The Packers retained him following the transition to Jeff Hafley, with Rebrovich leading the entire defensive line.

A move that indicates to me that MLF and Hafley weren't too happy with the results of the DL.

Sounds like Saleh is having some more influence on Matt and the Packers. The Packers will interview New York Jets defensive line coach Aaron Whitecotton for the position. Whitecotton has spent the last four seasons as the defensive line coach in New York. He was the assistant defensive line coach under Robert Saleh with the San Francisco 49ers in 2020 and then moved with Saleh to the Jets in 2021.

Whitecotton also coached defensive line as an assistant at NFL stops with the Jacksonville Jaguars (with Saleh) and Buffalo Bills before joining the 49ers.

Not sure adding a WR back that has trouble catching the ball to a group of receivers that have trouble catching the ball is an ideal move.

I’ve went through the catching thing so many times for folks and illustrated how deep threat targeted guys rarely operate over 60% catch percentage not wasting more breath typing it.

You’re not bringing him in to be the WR1, you’re adding a veteran who is a really good blocker, familiar with the system and can do the field stretching still with his speed and showed up for NO this year as one of their more dependable options at times.

It doesn’t have to be MVS either but an MVS type is more the point.
