Thats one of the reasons I’m also optimistic. Our blocking in the Run game has been good. That helps any RB to see the field more by default. Marshawn immediately busted a nice 15+ around the left edge but I think if I recall it was erased by penalty? Anyway our blocking will help his cause once he’s back.
I've noticed that our RBs are doing a decent job of blocking. You know they're going to be beat down by a guy outweighing them by 50#, and having 6" of height on them, but they have pretty much stayed in there and slowed them down. Can't expect much more to be honest.

I'm looking forward to Lynch hitting the field, but right now, I don't think we're getting hurt by either of our two back ups to Jacobs. They've done a respectable job.

I don't remember when the last time was the Packers could point at 4 RBs and say that all of them are quality backs.

It’s merely projection, but Marshawn has the ability to be a strong RB2. Once he gets in the open field he becomes a problem. He’s short and compact with exceptional burst and 4.4’s long speed. His added benefit was in a smaller sample he was a grade A receiver. He punished teams in space and the Packers need to use him in the short passing game and let him use his burst and elite ability to break tackles. He needs some refinement in Blocking and being patient inside the Tackles, but he’s very talented with a 7+ yard Rushing average for USC in 2023

The one thing he needs to do is run lower. He is a little too upright. You can get away with that in college, but in the NFL, they'll knock you down. It's not going to be a problem for him, it's just a matter of getting him to work on it in practice, and it will come.
