and how do you get a Fumble KO #1
Instead of starting in great Field Position. Zero awareness?

Then you back up -7 points with a holding on KO .#2. Backing is up to our own 10??? What? Inexcusable

That would’ve been strictly warned. It made Ty Montgomery look intelligent. I’d told the ST group, Get a flag in Qtr1? and go to the lockerroom I’ll meet you for a talk at HT.
He did take a helmet to helmet on the KO which was later determined bad enough to fine the guy. Bad non call - plus he recovered it clearly. Not on Nixon on the ref

Yep, that is still unmatched also. Of course, Lombardi left before he was diagnosed with colon cancer. Most people thought the Packer dynasty had run its course by that point, and I've always suspected that he might have known that and was perhaps one of the reasons why he left.
Vince knew that it was changing but he never winced at believing he could go out there and lose. During the 1968 season those close to him heard him say that he had made a mistake in stepping down. Bengtson was not getting the job done. But he felt it was not right for him to fire Phil and just take his place. So he went elsewhere.

The Chiefs are just more clutch than the Bills. The bills had numerous chances to win it on 4th downs in the second half and stumbled over themselves too often. That team should be dismantled. As long as Mahomes is in KC, they'll never beat them when it counts.

Josh Allen is overrated.I'm tired about hearing how good he is. His about winning a big game for once. I'll take Love over him. At least Love has a chance to get better and turn into a bona fide winner. We'll see. Maybe, maybe not.

Philly is a better team than the Bills but that might not be enough to beat Mahomes. The Eagles two young cornerbacks look really good. I sure with Cooper DeJean was wearing green and gold instead of Morgan.

A few years back it went exactly right down to the end when they played. Could be the same. KC has the better kicker but indoors it may not matter. Turnovers will be crucial. Eagles forced them in the last 2 games but did not make any. Both teams are very strong on defense. Chiefs will obviously key on Barkley. Eagles will mix up the heat and keep Kelce under wraps.

On the last 4th down play, the Bills had a receiver wide open running a cross route 10 yards in front of Allen. Instead of hanging in the pocket and picking up an easy first down, Allen didn't want to take the hit. He backpeddled and threw up a Favre-like heave to nobody. I'm pretty sure Mahomes hangs in the pocket and makes that completion. That's why they are going to threepeat and why the Bills are fools gold.

Lest we forget Quinyon Mitchell went just a couple picks before Morgan too. Both DROY candidates, basically reinvented their secondary in one draft.

In 2022 you may recall that we doubled up on drafting Georgia defenders with Quay Walker at 22 and Devonte Wyatt at 2023.

Philly did the same thing in 2023: Jalen Carter at 9 and Nolan Smith at 30. (they've also had a general affinity for drafting Georgia players with Nakobe Dean and Lewis Cine also as recent additions)
Then this past offseason they signed Zack Baun with basically no fanfare whatsoever. Wasn't considered a marquee signing by any stretch, 1 year 3.5m contract.

That's not all they've done but I'll be brief. In 2023 the Eagles were 29th in Defensive DVOA. This season they were 1st. New DC and proper talent identification/drafting has completely turned their defense around in a massive way.

For 2025 our total defensive spending is at roughly 133m. Philly is spending ~93m.
Now admittedly our defense made some big improvements in a lot of ways with Hafley but IMO we still have too many early investments that we aren't getting near the return from that we should expect.

The Chiefs are an unbelievable 17-0 in their last 17 one possession games. That is insanely clutch.

Josh Allen is 4-0 in his last 4 regular season games against KC, and 0-4 in his last 4 playoff games against KC. Josh Allen is just like Aaron Rodgers in the playoffs against the 49ers.
