Top 10 ol out and everyone expects same results

Myers should seriously be considered to be replaced.... he's the OL's weak link

There's a reason the FO was shopping for JT now I see... .how Dillon doesn't get ~80+ yards rushing and more FDs is beyond me...

Love didn't play well in the 4th quarter, but we can't be getting 2,3,etc yard runs all the time either...

Final by 1 point. About what I expected. This Defensive unit has no coordinator that can adjust and stop the run. Barry should already be gone. 5 Win prediciton is right on track. I thought the offense played good except for the 4th quarter. Our Defensive veterans should be ashamed. Ouch...
The D was gassed in the 4th quarter lol

I don't know... if J'aire and Quay hold onto their interceptions, that's 3 interceptions.... not bad

Actually, considering our entire receiving corps is made up of rookies and 2nd year players and we played the game without arguably our 4 best players on offense, I think 24 points is a pretty good performance. It certainly wasn't "pathetic." Some of you people act like every other team is made up of scrubs or something.
When I said pathetic, I was talking about throwing 3 points away, by letting the damn play clock, of all things expire. That penalty lost us the game.

So now only yards mattered? He was 15 of 18 and a td

He also hasn't tossed an int in like 4 games
You're right only wins matter, but I don't foresee a gold jacket in his future. The real issue is we get can't stop the run. But you if you think DR is a world-beater, than who am I to argue? Also, he threw a INT today, so I guess his streak will have to start over.

I had high hopes for Dillon, but more often than not he's been a disappointment.
He's a short yardage specialist. He's the guy you put in to get the one tough yard you need. That's the role he was drafted for and he's damn good at it. It would be nice if Jones could stay healthy.

Yup, that was a big screwup. Very amateurish but that's what rookies do too often.

Do you think the play was designed for Love to sneak the ball without it being snapped? Put the blame where it belongs. It was Myers who didn't snap it.

That play falls squarely on Myers or Love or both. And before that, on Dillon for falling down and not picking up the first.

Yeah, I'd still like to know what the hell that was about.

He actually sucks at it.

But I also don't think the bold is correct. You don't spend a 2nd round pick on a back just to be a short yardage specialist.

Yeah I agree on DAntes here

You spend a 2nd round pick on a difference maker, not some short yardage specialist - who isn't even that good at it lol

a "short yardage specialist" would be like somewhat like a Mike Alstott in his heydey --- and Dillon is NOT like that...

We've been watching different games over the last 3 years then.

Last year, Dillon had 18 carries on 3rd or 4th down with 3 or fewer yards to gain. He converted 11.

For comparison, Jones had 16 such opportunities and converted 10.

He has not been exceptional at converting short yardage, as we saw today with him stumbling over nothing and failing to convert, which is what set up that botched sneak.

I'm talking about 3rd or 4th and 1. Plays where the defense puts 8 in the box. NOBODY is going to covert all of those but Dillon converts a high percentage of them.

Do you have the numbers on those situations specifically? I gave you 3rd/4th and 1-3.

so you take a guy in the 2nd round to do those? and to be your Number 2 (and presumed) replacement for AJ?? AJ's great but he's a smaller guy, for the NFL, and it should be known that he can get injured from time to time

I don't think so....

I'm a big fan of Dillon. He doesn't play the same role as Jones. He's an excellent complement to Jones imo. Has developed into a good pass blocker too imo. Doesn't fumble and is tough on defenders as well. I'd rather him than not have him on the roster.

so you think he's a good number 2? You think he's capable of 1000+ yards (in a season) if something were to happen to AJ?

I don't think I'd want him as my featured #1 back because of his running style. I think Dillon is very well suited for his role with the Packers.
