I’m praying a potential safety because we are dead there beyond this year and would be a blessing to not have Garvin be the only OLB after Smith and Gary essentially.
Did Scott just not turn out well. I have not watched him closely enough to have an idea.

Did Nakobe Dean eat a puppy or something? I know Kiper wasn't happy that Walker was drafted before Dean, but obviously the Packers aren't alone in ranking Dean.
Apparently he had/has a pec injury that he’s chosen not to get treated yet or something? I don’t remember the exact specifics but it’s something to do with an injury concern from what I’ve heard.

Reading around the net for more info on Watkins. Apparently he has a potential to be a big time player both as a receiver and on special teams. The one knock I keep seeing is questionable hands. Hopefully it's a coachable and correctable thing, but the potential here is about off the charts.
Paddle hands Adams ring a bell?

As happy as I was yesterday is how disappointed I am today. I know this is hindsight but they could have gotten Moore and Tolbert without making the trade. Okay I vented. Obviously Gute & company know more than I do so I will just hope they are right this time. A part of me feels he panicked and did not want a replay of 2020 when he didn't trade up. IMO they gave up too much. A trade with the Colts for 42 would have been my preference. Oh well. Nail the rest of the draft Gute.

Still waiting to see who we get at 92, but I'm feeling similar. I'm excited for who we did get, but I feel like the whole point of this draft was to collect mid round picks because it was so deep. Giving up what we did to move up was a lot and I wasn't as high on Watson as some. Again, I'm not an expert so I'm going to let it play out and just root for the players we do get.

His hands are honestly one of his biggest issues…

He’s a natural hands catcher. That’s what i meant. Teaching a guy to catch with his hands more reliably is easier than teaching a body catcher to catch with their hands.

I think we got the best WR that was still available. I actually like him better than Dotson. Had the Packers waited, he wasn't going to be there. Moving up that far in round 2 isn't cheap, no matter what the draft value board says.

It completely depends on how Watson turns out. If he is a superstud; it was evidently worth it. Another way to look at it is we could have taken Watson at 28 and then kept our two seconds but not end up with Wyatt. Honestly, I would rather the way we have done it. I don't think we could have gotten two players to clog up the run game the way Wyatt is going to help us. And we never would have gotten Watson.

I can certainly understand that viewpoint but I think we are good. I think he will contribute a surprising amount this year. Not Jefferson or Chase 1st year levels mind you but I think he will surprise people.

Or taken Wyatt at 22 and Watson at 28, kept our two picks and take one of the linebackers that fall there. I'm not saying it's the right choice, just saying it wasn't the only two options.

Why do people put any faith into what players, coaches, or front office people say in public? As for Rodgers comments? I'm supposed to believe he did in-depth scouting on receiver prospects during the offseason? Sorry, he's the best QB ever but I'm not sold on his draft acumen.
Remember that he still has Cobb. And that makes him feel good.

I want the linebacker. So not an option for me.
