Great movie. I know that I've watched this game before but don't remember the beginning interviews. However, I do remember the story by Steve Sabol about his dad making the movie in order to get his foot in the door with the NFL....and that their film company was named after his sister.

Thanks for posting. I always find it interesting to watch the old game footage instead of just highlights. You see all of the extra curricular hits to players' heads, the extra shots when the player is already on the ground, the hits the QBs took regularly, etc.

Huff was a beast. I was always a Jack Lambert fan, but Bednarik was also a mean animal too. We'll just never see linebackers like we did in the 60s and 70s.

Actually watched the game on 12-30-62. It was on NBC. Not many people had a color TV but it was in color. I remember Chris Schenkel and Ray Scott. Lindsay Nelson was also there. And a former athlete doing some work on the field and in the locker room was a guy named Bud Palmer. All were very descriptive of the bitter, cold, gusty conditions. I think they admired all the players and coaches that day. Ray Nitschke, who was named MVP of the championship game, went on the What's My Line panel show on CBS that evening. The game made the holiday school break very special!
