I made mention earlier in the week that the Packers went to his Pro Day. Easton said on a follow-up post we are up to 21 of 30 visits

I'm sure Dantes & Tynimiller can tell us what Manu's favorite breakfast cereal is. :)

VERY diverse OL that I love later Day3

He truly checks nearly every Packer type and given likelihood of being Day3 I toss out the age issue as he is an older prospect.

RAS checks in at over 9...if memory serves he is like a 9.5 or so.

He lost a bit of weight and if he stays at Tackle he may go lighter but he is barely over 320, again if memory serves (not at my computer with spreadsheet).

His length and size to me screams switch to guard...his arms are sub 33 but I know longer than 32. I remember him exhibiting guard upper body strength in his play and testing (believe 30 or so reps).

Played guard snap at all star games, last three seasons USF played him only at LT but prior to that he played some guard for them as well.

YES, Marshawn Kneeland is a candidate day2 for me and truthfully I almost wouldn't care if they loved him enough for Day1 or that 41st pick. Yes I think he has the tools in his toolset to be SPECIAL.
That's a name I've been hearing a lot this past week; he may not be there at #41. He's visited or scheduled to visit at least 16 teams.

But with an RAS of 8.45, I'm not sure Gutekunst will spend a 1st on him; he was expected to do much better. That, along with lingering questions about his competition level at Western Michigan, may make some teams cautious, but he had a tremendous Senior Bowl and apparently rocked the Combine too. Someone may decide he's worth a an early flyer.

Anything over 8.00 is legit, and Gute trends that way.

It would depart from his trend if he went for him in Round 1; out of 8 first round picks, I believe that other than Love, he's only drafted one other player in the first round with an RAS under 9 (Savage). Of the remaining 6, 5 have been over 9.5.

It seems to be a category he considers very important for early picks.

Even though Top 30 visits have been pretty hit worthy on day 3 or UDFA for future Packers, early picks haven't been. I thought this tweet from Ross Uglem today on "X" was pretty neat to see.

One of his patterms seems to be that his early picks are high-profile players, and he already has enough information on them. Most of the guys he brings in for the 30 seem to be players at positions where he plans to double dip - get an elite player early, and double up in the later rounds or UDFA.

18 of his 22 known visits so far are T, CB, DL, or LB, the four positions where we're probably most likely to double dip, and only 3 or 4 of those players are projected as possible late 1st rounders. He's doing maximum due diligence on guys he's targeted as insurance picks.

His other 4 Top 30 are a really intriguing mid-round WR, a later-round RB, an early Day 2 safety and a 7th Round/UDFA safety.

This is why I'm suspicious that ol' Nate Wiggins is gonna be the guy. I've been going back and forth on this but I think the only knock on him is his weight. He's already added 10 lbs between Combine and Proday. I think he can probably add another 5-10 and be right in that 190 range. Because he is so young I think he's still got a little filling out to do and his ceiling is so high. I would still put Qmich about him but otherwise Nate is my guy.
