as rodgers said during his presser just moments ago...when asked about how well he's playing at 37 and how he looks different this year... "i think you have to play different. for me, i think it was just embracing this offense." then he went on and spoke about how much all the zoom calls made such a big difference...which he's mentioned several times this season.
This is just another glaring example of you either:
- all out lying about what Rodgers said
- incorrectly interpreting what he said
- taking what he said out of context to fit your agenda
- taking a 3-6 word phrase as definite meaning to drive your narrative forward
All of these things by the way you've been called out on in the past and been exposed for.
In this scenario, yes Rodgers uttered the phrase "embrace this offense". But again, it wasn't in the sense you're suggesting it was. What you're wanting to portray from that is Rodgers not accepting the offense, not buying into Matt LaFleur, etc.
What you don't mention though is that he explained what he meant by "embracing the offense".
He elaborated by saying he has embraced the offense by:
- Improving fundamentally, as this particular system demands different footwork which requires repetition and re-learning your habits.
- Understanding how the previous point is critical in making sure the timing is better in the pocket
- Going back to old film to study footwork on certain route concepts from years past
- Altering his workout regiment to improve leg strength which includes, but is not limited to, doing more squats
- The previous point has allowed him to play more in rhythm
- Consequently, he feels better than he has in a long time
As the vast majority on this board pointed out throughout the course of year one (which are the sane, level minded crowd), it was always going to take at least a year for Rodgers to figure out what adjustments needed to be made. It was always going to take at least a year to feel comfortable. It was always going to take a transition period to figure all of these things out.
But of course, you're going to cling to this ******** narrative that Rodgers was rebelling against Matt LaFleur and his system when it couldn't be further from the truth.
Even in a year when your criticism has been low (because Rodgers has literally left you with no choice because he's been near flawless), you still figure out a way to push this insane narrative forward.
Patiently waiting for you to respond with the same drivel you always do.
