I wonder what the percentage of Packer fans there is in Minnesota ? I noticed in sports stores there was about 50/50 in Packer and Viking merchandise plus an all Packers store in the Mall Of America. Minnesota used to be Packer territory until the foundlings came.
I noticed when there was a Viking store in Rosedale, it was almost always empty of customers.
The Viking store at the Mega Mall may be nice, but the Packer store has cheese!

It might be smart for the Packers to line up Nelson in the slot quite often as Rodgers has a passer rating of 152.0 when targeting his favorite receiver there, the best rating in the league for any WR. Nelson has caught 32 of 42 slot passes for 472 yards and six touchdowns when lined up in the slot.

Especially as #87 will typically face Asa Jackson, who has allowed a 135.8 passer rating in the slot.

Special teams will be important in this game. We cannot allow any kind of kick return/punt return. We cannot miss any field goals, we cannot muff a punt or kick off and we certainly cannot mess up an onside kick!!

Maybe one of Rodger's passes ?

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Unidentified Falling Object -- it's a UFO that has one local man scratching his head. His van damaged by a large object, but so far, no one can say exactly what that object is.

The damage is extensive, the owner of the van thinks the object fell from the sky. It's a mystery that plays out like an episode of "The X-Files."

What needs to be done, more than anything else, is pressure the QB. Might as well get in the habit, because if this team is going anywhere in the playoffs that will be a necessity.

Rodgers lights it up.
Valiant effort by Stafford and Lions, but in the end
Packers, 34-24

It's on baby! This is the game the boys have been waiting for and me believes they come through in a big way.

AR will go 26/38 for 287yards 3 TD's and sprinkle in 4 rushes for 26 yards.

TyMo and CMic combine for 105 rush yards and one em scores on a 20+ yd scamper.

Jordy is...well Jordy. Slay or no Slay 87 keeps rolling ending with 9 catches on 12 targets for 123 yards and a score.

17 breaks the 1,000 yard marker for the first of many times with a 5 catch on 7 targets performance for 81 yards.

Cook and RRod combine for a 7 for 11 line totaling 62 yards with RR snagging one in the back of the end zone for a score.

Cobb plays but isn't heard from all that much and Geronimo contributes with nominal yardage but a key 3rd down score cements his place on this team moving forward.

Crosby is 2 for 2 on FG tries both being from the 42 yard range. He does miss one of his 4 PAT attempts.

Defense harasses 9 all night and forces 2 picks and a sack/fumble. 52, 56 and 53 all have sacks and HaHa and Rollins get the oskies.

Tight first half with the second being a runaway. Packers prevail in Motown securing a playoff birth and reclaiming the Norris title thereby returning order to the league.

Packers 33
Lions 20

Guion, Lowry and Fackrell all log sacks. Either Randall, Gunter or Brice get a pick six. Real good feeling on this prediction!!!
With the way we're playing right now I don't see how anyone couldn't be feeling good about things. Not a fake, cocky feeling rather a quiet confidence this team is destined for greatness. G P G and Happy New Year's!

Wow, and even worse if you have to work later that day.
Depends on which day your employer gives the holiday. Mine gave it the Thurs and Friday before the weekend to give us the whole week off. I worked 4 days at time and 1/2 with comp days available. Since I am new there, I don't have much vacation or personal days banked. 4 comp days are almost gold. Lucky for me my work week starts Monday night. Get the Packers game plus Badgers game during my "weekend."

Even though we've won 5 in a row, we MUST win another 5 in a row in order for the season to be a success.

A Packer loss could be afforded with a Washington lost, but the point is well taken. I too happen to think that nobody remembers who finishes second.

I'm not counting on the Redskins to lose tomorrow. Too much on the line for the Redskins and really nothing on the line for the Giants, who no matter what happens, are locked into the #5 seed. If any of the Giants starters go down early, I can see this waking coaches up into saying "ok, not worth more injuries, let's live to fight another day" and rest up for the playoffs.

Detroit fans are going to be buzzing and I hope that doesn't shake the Packers and AR. As long as the Packers offense can get out fast, the defense can keep pressure on Stafford and force a turnover or 2 or......

Packers: 31
Lions: 27

Of course not, under any circumstances. In this case, having watched the Giants play a poor game against Philly, I wouldn't count on them for anything against anybody even it did matter.

Besides, the outcome of that game will be known before the Packer kickoff. What needs to be done or not done will be known when they take the field.

Agreed, but I don't see the Packers coaches and players looking at the game much differently whether the Redskins win or lose. This would be a huge win for the Packers, giving them home field advantage next week, probably going up against the Giants VS going home (Redskin win) or playing on the road against the Seahawks or possibly the Lions again?

I feel extremely confident about the Packers offense entering tonight's game against the Lions and hopefully the playoffs down the road. Unfortunately that's not true for the defense though.

My confidence is derived from complete belief in the offense. We have a defense that may show up and dominate. Sadly we also have a defense that may stay on the bus for half the game. This year's SB aspirations will come down to the D as it does most years. AR and Co. will most likely do their part. I believe the D will join them and this combined effort will culminate in a ring. Your apprehension is valid and then some but this team is an updated clone of 2010 and I expect the final results to mirror that very season.

G P G!!
