I see 3 that had Top 30's...Tet, Egbuka, and Golden.

Sorry that's my personal view on Golden causing me to say that. He is NOT a first round WR in my book. You're right though general consensus has him in that group.

Milroe, Dart and Golden IMO all have zero business being there and Golden has the best case amongst the three.

I thought Shedeur already said he wouldn't be there.

You're gonna agree then likely with my upcoming mock - may be my last of the year.
I've also concluded that there aren't really any WR's that jump out at me as top 12 first round picks. That might give Gute a legit shot at being able to select a WR that he has as #1 on his board, whomever that might be.

Packers are hosting Arizona WR Tetairoa McMillan on a Top 30. Doing their due diligence on these Top WR's this Draft season.
I think he is the first WR off the board, kind of surprised they are using a visit up on him, but I guess if he is still there after 14 or so picks, Gute might jump up and take him (if he really likes him).

This information is from Kent Lee Platte, the creator of RAS.

In terms of sheer volume, here are the number of players each team has drafted over the last four seasons, from 2021-2024, with a #RAS over 8.00

Colts-29
Packers-26
Commanders-22
Cardinals-21
Ravens-21
Rams-20
Chiefs-20
Giants-19
Eagles-19
Bills-19
Saints-19
Bears-19
Cowboys-18
Broncos-18
Steelers-18
Bengals-18
Jaguars-18
Jets-17
Lions-17
Seahawks-15
Dolphins-15
49ers-15
Chargers-15
Falcons-14
Buccaneers-14
Patriots-14
Panthers-14
Browns-12
Raiders-11
Texans-10
Vikings-10
Titans-9

Over that same span, 2021-2024, here are how many players each team has drafted with a #RAS under 5.00:

Browns-6
Cowboys-5
Texans-4
Giants-4
49ers-4
Buccaneers-4
Rams-4
Bengals-3
Jaguars-3
Chargers-3
Ravens-3
Packers-3
Raiders-3
Broncos-3
Steelers-3
Bears-2
Titans-2
Saints-2
Lions-2
Seahawks-2
Panthers-2
Vikings-2
Patriots-2
Falcons-2
Bills-1
Jets-1
Chiefs-1
Cardinals-1
Commanders-1
Colts-1
Dolphins-1

And here is the average RAS score for every team over the same time period.

Colts-9.049
Eagles-8.722
Saints-8.637
Commanders-8.635
Jets-8.526
Chiefs-8.479
Dolphins-8.315
Steelers-8.245
Cardinals-8.198
Broncos-8.191
Ravens-8.185
Bills-8.115
Bears-8.060
Packers-8.053
Falcons-8.048
Giants-8.028
Seahawks-7.996
Lions-7.994
Jaguars-7.853
Bengals-7.754
Panthers-7.733
Patriots-7.661
Chargers-7.623
Cowboys-7.587
49ers-7.583
Buccaneers-7.572
Rams-7.507
Vikings-7.507
Titans-7.458
Raiders-7.324
Texans-7.056
Browns-6.949
Undrafted Free Agents -4.124

All in all, it isn't just Gute that focuses on that score. In fact there are a lot more teams that seem to focus on it more than him. In shear volume the Packers are #2, with 26, but they have also drafted 44 players. In contrast. Only 3 of those 44 scored under 5.00 score. ( Jonathan Ford, Shemar Jean-Charles, and Travis Glover) with 3 more having an N/A ( Anders Carlson, Josh Myers, and Rasheed Walker).

Some observations from the visits so far:

-With the exception of a UDFA candidate at QB (Elgersma), the visits are exclusively at OL (6), DE (5), WR (5), CB (4), and DT (3).

-At OL, they're signaling intent to target guys in the late rounds. They've had in Simmons, which is probably medical, and Belton, who is possibly character scouting. Otherwise, the other 4 guys are late round/UDFA types.

-At DE, they're signaling intent to target someone early (which runs counter to my recent theory-- lol). They've had in the #14, 15, 26, 67, and 160, and only one (Pearce @26) could be character scouting vs genuine interest. It's also notable that they're focusing on really big bodies-- not DPR types.

-At WR, the focus is on 1st round targets (McMillan, Golden, Egbuka), a character scouting guy (Bond), and mid round vertical guy (Felton).

-At CB, it's an even split of earlier targets (Revel, Amos) and late rounders (Marshall, Robinson).

-At DT, it's also early guys-- Nolen, Williams, Sanders.

Damn, good work.

I'm a little surprised at the number of WRs. I read last week that Green Bay had taken serious looks at more WRs than any other position, but apparently that was more on pro days than Top 30 visits.

Not sure what that means.... if anything.

I'm thinking that at those 3 position groups, they've got some guys who (if they are available in the 1st or maybe 2nd), that'll be their choice - but if they miss one of their 1st round guys, they're preparing to fill the position on Day 2 or maybe 3.

Walter Nolen and Jordan Burch in for visits.
I really like Burch there in Day2. Although he’s probably too early at #54 and long gone by #87 so not sure what we’re thinking there?

Wondering if we are preparing to move around the board a little. Such as a trade back from #54 to gain another Day3 selection(s) in fashion of backing up for Jayden Reed. I’d personally be ok with Burch anywhere into in the 60’s - #54 is a little Rich is my guess but backup into the 60’s and take him.

Thanks good breakdown.
That CB part is in line with what I’ve been saying. I think we’ll either draft 1 early 1 later (1st,6th) or (2nd/5th) etc. or a pair in the middle. Oddly enough a draft resembling Postseason seeding!
