Gutes actions are allowable, but also his GM relational inexperience surfaced to a head. I don’t think he considered the backlash at all and how influential 1 man can be. He had to put this fire out before it burned the entire building, regardless of who’s to blame.I don’t think the grand effect will stop Rodgers though.  He’s very competitive and the off-season will be a very slight overall impact.
