Some people are uncomfortable having a real conversation about something that has killed Millions of people. Many of those people were quiet here in Packerland, up until Covid changed the fortune of the Packers. We saw some talk when Davante had to sit out, but people lost their **** when Aaron Fricking Rodgers gets it.So we shut that thread why? You’re finally right about something. Congrats.Yes and Trump won the election!
I agree. It is mind-blowing. Take out all of the politics for a moment. No matter your position on vaccines, it's obviously a huge competitive advantage to be vaccinated due to the NFL rules alone. Never mind that you're less likely to get COVID if you're vaccinated. I suppose it's good that Rodgers got COVID now instead of during the playoffs, but not getting vaccinated is still a terrible decision on his end IMHO.Stellar article by Pete Dougherty.

This is a sports board not a general society forum. We can discuss the parts of society that infringe on the sports world. The discussion had degenerated into a general society discussion. The admin @Shaggy wants us to shy away from that direction. Some people are uncomfortable having a real conversation about something that has killed Millions of people. Nope. As long as it remains relevant to the NFL's investigation and response it is fair point. I'd rather it stay in its own thread though. So are we going to dance around the subject of what the NFL does, if anything, with the Covogers Gate?
I read everything up to the post I responded to. In one straight run. It was like watching an unmoderated debate of the View and the Five with an occasional comment by Tucker Carlson and Don Lemon.Hell I didn’t read most of it the first time LOL
That should about cover it.I read everything up to the post I responded to. In one straight run. It was like watching an unmoderated debate of the View and the Five with an occasional comment by Tucker Carlson and Don Lemon.
This is why the majority of the world views the media in a very negative way.You must be logged in to see this image or video!
I said that is enough off topic Covid discussion. The Covid protocol has AR12 out about 10 days and the NFL is investigating why he acted (and the team let him) as if he had the jab. NFL takes rules violations seriously if you aren't Tom Brady. AR will be an example of "we treat all players the same even though we don't."Stellar article by Pete Dougherty.

I was responding to an article that was posted. If junk like that article is posted, I certainly have the right to respond. The NFL rules are absurd and not based on any logical science.I said that is enough off topic Covid discussion. Of course it did. Just as when we have discussed CTE, kneeling for the anthem, BLM, etc. I just find it comical as well as quite annoying, that when discussions veer into the "uncomfortable" range for you and a few others when it comes to something like Covid, you want to censor, put a bubble over the discussion and shut it down. If people are offended by the discussion, which for the most part was rather civil, given the subject matter, then don't go back to the thread. One of the mods posted a nice post discussing the loss of a friends wife due to covid. I didn't have a problem reading that, it brings reality into a situation that some think is fantasy. The discussion had degenerated into a general society discussion.
sadly, this same thing happens on many sports forums. people come here to converse. at least that's why i come here. i've been going through a very challenging time in my life and i have almost zero opportunity to converse with live humans. places like this are my one chance to do so. i got booted from another sports forum because i said positive things about aaron rodgers. i was happy to find this place (with the help of a friend) where people are allowed to speak their minds. i just want to say thank you to whoever it was that let me through the door.Yes this is a sports Forum, but if all you want to discuss is Football in a bubble, good luck.

We have a general Covid thread in the opt in area of the board. Feel free to use it.Of course it did. We would never know since Adams was vaccinated and is out with Covid. I mean what are the chances that these athletes(and politicians) who are vaccinated still catching the virus? To say he should have gotten it is now a moot point. This vaccine is not 100% effective. I know the argument is but this vaccine is preventing hospitalizations...yes, to those with underlining conditions. Those without the vaccine are also asymptomatic. So again where do we draw that line about mandates?I agree. It is mind-blowing. Take out all of the politics for a moment. Sorry to hear about your challenging times, but happy to read that you have found some solace through this forum.sadly, this same thing happens on many sports forums. people come here to converse. at least that's why i come here. i've been going through a very challenging time in my life and i have almost zero opportunity to converse with live humans. places like this are my one chance to do so. i got booted from another sports forum because i said positive things about aaron rodgers. i was happy to find this place (with the help of a friend) where people are allowed to speak their minds. i just want to say thank you to whoever it was that let me through the door.
So Gimpy gave you the boot? Well played! I left the shemp-show over there years ago when it became obvious the moderator had vendettas for anyone who didn't subscribe to his view of Aaron Rodgers.i got booted from another sports forum because i said positive things about aaron rodgers.
Agree and I would classify being vaccinated as eliminating a possible distraction. Up to now I've never questioned Rodgers dedication but this is a head-scratcher to me because he knowing took a risk that he could miss games and possibly have lingering effects from covid that could degrade his performance going forward.... it's obviously a huge competitive advantage to be vaccinated due to the NFL rules alone. Never mind that you're less likely to get COVID if you're vaccinated. I suppose it's good that Rodgers got COVID now instead of during the playoffs, but not getting vaccinated is still a terrible decision on his end IMHO.
Thanks, I have and will continue to. However, Covid has made an obvious impact on The Green Bay Packers, which I believe is what this forum is about. So if you think it won't be discussed in a variety of ways in various other threads, just because someone created a thread dedicated to it, you might as well start closing all those threads too.We have a general Covid thread in the opt in area of the board. Feel free to use it.
Yes that Vaccine is just wiping out so many top level athletes, that you had to find a guy on Twitter that holds his breath as a sport and claims the Vaccine is at fault for his performance drop. That proves your point? Many top level athletes from various sports have had horrible effects after taking the vaccine.
