It seems like the whole complexion of games change with a big lead. Defense goes into prevent which is like saying " We will give up points in exchange for time off the clock". Offense just tries to eat clock time. Just look at the difference in today's third and fourth quarters.

Only problem is, the bears scored twice and didn't use a lot of time to do it. Then, our O stumbled and didn't use any clock, either. Incomplete passes don't use any time. And negative runs don't either. And that prevent D is, and always has been, a total joke. It just let's teams back into the game. Almost always. Keep the pressure that got the lead in the first place. Jmo

Bottom line is today's game was almost a total meltdown in the fourth quarter. A TD on the Bears last drive would have been a killer giving them a four point lead and only 1:13 left.

Capers seemed to back off from heavy double coverage and played things straight up.

Perhaps figuring the clock was the Packers’ biggest enemy, he played a soft zone coverage that seemed to play right into Chicago’s hands. Jeffery didn’t have a catch through the first three quarters, but in the fourth he caught six for 89 yards and a touchdown.

Studs: offense and most of the defense
Duds: Dom and his archaic base zone and Adams for dropping 12 points.

I believe the Bears had around 170 yards passing in the fourth quarter alone after 192 yards through the first three. A total failure of Capers soft zone coverage.
U asked if they can play a full game.. I gave example.. Actually could have said any of the other 3 in a row..

Don't deflect.

Studs: Ha Has Clinton Dix for bringing back fond memories of Jay Cutler.
Jordy Nelson for that spectacular last catch.

Duds: Too many dropped passes, though I think the weather had a bit to do with it.

Funniest play: Seeing the Bears logo pop off the helmet! Kind of a good representation of the Bears entire season.

Even in victories there is need for constructive criticism. Today's game was far from a perfect game. A loss would have sparked a much greater negative reaction to today's soft fourth quarter play. Sorry I don't have the memory retention to analyze the previous 13 games.

I believe a Packers player logo came off also.

Of course criticism, but again, your question was can they play full game,.. My rebuttal was Seattle game.

Sorry you didn't think that example was valid

If the Bears played every entire game the way they did in today's fourth quarter they would be polishing a Lombardi trophy right now. 170 yards passing in one quarter = 680 yards per game !

I can't comment on the Seattle game....We were cut off from the game much of the fourth quarter. Don't know how Capers played it.

Does it show Capers coverages ?

Okay I'll dance...

Of course not,

but what BUT it does show is how they held a power house team to 3 and outs, turn overs, and no scores until late in the game.

Now if all u really care about is the coverage AND NOT the outcome, then you don't care about the score.. You just want to whine about Dom

Again

You said can the play a complete game, Seattle was my example.

But you not going to admit your agenda towards Dom and your never happy with him

Maybe Capers played a hard coverage defense the entire game against Seattle. ( If he did it worked). Honestly, I don't know what he did in the Seattle game. Why deviate in today's game from something that worked through three quarters. This is my first negative comment about Capers. It's quite obvious he made a bad move in today's game and came very close to losing the game for the Packers.

Who got hurt?

Who was hurt and no one to replace? (game time, so know one here would know)

Randall was benched, but when? Did it help or was even worse

Who didn't do their assignments? (unless inside knowledge you won't know)
