I loved Shannon’s induction speech.

He said of the then 267 inductees, he said he was the only one who could say that another person in his own family was actually better than himself. Shannon Sharpe got a standing ovation at that moment for that declaration.

Tony Boselli was inducted today and he was dominant for 7 years, but career was cut short due to injury. This should set a precedent for Sharpe. For 7 years, he along with Jerry Rice were the dominant receivers in the NFL. I expect him to get in next year.

Well ... the same two are still looking for entry this time around.

Even though Holmgren's exit was something less than heart-warming it is hard to ignore the fact that the guy, hand-in-hand with Wolf and Harlan, turned this franchise into the consistent winner that it is from the consistent moribund mess that it was. Good luck, Mike.

Sterling ... yeah, talent to no end. Shortened career due to injury shouldn't even be a factor after wazzizname from the Broncos got in. My excitement for Sterling is somewhat watered down because of a threatened hold-out DAYS/HOURS before an important game, I don't remember which game it was, over salary concerns.

I get the notion that he wanted to get "HIS" and the next game could be their last and all that stuff. I don't have to like it though.

Still and the same ... best of luck to both this year!! I still believe the Hall voters are going to ***** these guys again because of the perception that there are too many Packers in the Hall already.

They both belong in the HOF. It's surprising to me they aren't already in.

I remember some experts discussing whether or not Holmgren belonged in the Hall of Fame back when he took the Seahawks to the Super Bowl. I remember them saying that if the Seahawks won, he would get in, and if not, he wouldn't. Of course, the Seahawks lost. I'm not saying I agree with that assessment, just throwing it out there.

I think eventually Holmgren makes it. But yeah missing out on the second SB is likely what's keeping him out for now.

That's right, he's 1-3 in SB play. How could I forget about that loss to Denver?????

Then again, three trips to the SB. Probably gets him in sometime during the next few years.
Sorry I brought that to the forefront. I've always put that one at his and Paul Allen's feet... but THAT wasn't tampering... noooooo

No that's ok. Just one of those games we'd all like to forget happened, along with John Elway's ****-eating grin.

A horse walked into a bar and sat down next to John Elway and asked, "Hey fella... why the long face?"
My brother is gonna love that one.

The only thing worse would be a Viking win in the SB. Right now, they are way too close for my comfort. And while I hate to admit it, they have a very good team.

So that will make it all that much better when the Packers send them on a short trip home sometime in the next month.
