I have reviewed many Wednesday and Thursday(today) player interviews and to a man including all of the coaches all I have heard is that they are approaching the game as if Rodgers will be totally healthy.

I would say it would be foolish to not treat him as if he were totally healthy. He threw for over 300 yards and 3 touchdowns last Sunday and improved as the game went on, instead of declining, despite playing on a bad leg.

They’re approaching the game as if he will be totally healthy? That’s odd because they know for certain he won’t be.

So he’ll line up under center as often as he did before the injury and we can expect him to extend plays as he’s done in the past?

Going to have to agree with Dagger on this one. If you prepare to stop a healthy Rodgers and he's not healthy, the defense is fine.

If you prepare to face an immobile Rodgers though and he comes out better than expected, then the defense would be unprepared.

That's not what is being said. It would be foolish to not treat a player who is most likely going to be this year's MVP anything but 100%. And we saw last week that he can still extend plays and get out of tackles, so yes, despite not being 100% healthy, it would not be smart to decide, "Well, he isn't healthy, so we don't have to worry about him doing (insert play)."

Carl has done a better job of saying what I was trying to say. If you prepare for the best, you'll be ready for it all. If you don't get it all, no harm done. But, listen, if the Seahawks would rather prepare for Rodgers not being 100%, that is completely fine with me!

I don't believe they are really preparing for a 100% healthy Rodgers. I expect them to adjust their defense for a less mobile Rodgers. I'll bet their pass rush target will be more focused and if they ever contemplated using a spy to contain him outside the pocket, that won't be necessary. That's not to say Rodgers can't slide and side-step the rush in the pocket, but he will not present the running threat he does when 100% healthy.

Every player on the Hawks D is intelligent. They will discover Rodger's limitations right away. I wouldn't doubt it if they have some specific Defensive maneuvers designed to push Aaron out of the pocket right away to see what his capabilities are. Not to imply that the Defense would purposefully injure Rodgers but if they can make a legal tackle on his legs to test his durability I wouldn't rule that out either.

They'll definitely discover what his limitations are early in the game, but he started off somewhat struggling and by the end of the game last week, seemed to be maneuvering around better than he did at the beginning. You would think he would've been more sluggish at the end after moving and getting hit throughout the game. It'll be interesting to see!

He is scared of needles I don't think he got a shot

He doesn't like the put stuff in his body that is not needed

Thanks for the information. And as an addendum, Good luck with your surgery. I hope it fixes what you need it to fix to make you better. I have had a few surgeries in my day too.

Just yesterday I tore my calf muscle skiing and Rodgers is a straight warrior in my book being able to do anything on a torn calf.

I can attest that as you move around more the leg does get "better" or at least not quite as sore and stiff so perhaps that is why Rodgers started off slow.

The doctor I saw said he did the same thing skiing 5 weeks ago and is still not a lot better. It's painful for me to just walk around so once again - Rodgers is a beast and because of that we will beat the seabirds 38-24.
