I hope he rides off into the sunset after this game. Not being snarkey, just think a win, 3 TD game, 500th career TD, and most likely your last one being thrown to Adams would be a nice, storybook way for him to end his career.

Correction: 4 TD's now, up to 503 career, Breece Hall now has caught his latest TD.

He still throws the ball. I believe his (and Cousin's) surgery affected their play this year.
Definitely, the injury he had last year has given him some long term physical effects. If he was younger, it probably wouldn't be as bad.

And just for completeness sake, Rodgers threw one more to Breece Hall for #503. Four TD game, nice.

Son has his Rookie card and no autograph. He was a believer from the day he was drafted ... when his Dad said "WTF". :roflmao:

That card looks like it could score a 10. Edges and corners are clean and the centering is perfect which on older baseball cards was rare. Clarity looks good too. A lot of my old cards were rather "fuzxy" in clarity. That dropped their value a lot.

I wrote an article on where Rodgers could play in 2025, if y'all would like to check it out. I don't write for anyone, but I'd like to someday so I'm practicing. Constructive criticism and Rodgers thoughts both appreciated!

You could just seem him going to the Vikings. Go ahead, he won't take them all the way either.

The 49ers were his favorite team growing up, that might concern me.
Personally, if I were him, I'd just retire.

If I'm a team even remotely thinking of Rodgers in 2025, I'm sitting him down and stating "You're coming in to play QB. You're not in a GM role. We aren't hiring any coaches you want (we have a staff here) and we are not bringing in any previous teammates on your suggestion" More than likely he would be offended and not be interested which would be fine. Sorry, but 2024 performance and the amount of toxicity he brings to the table should strip him of his ability to call any shots. Probably won't because some owners are stupid and desperate...

Sounds like the Jets followed what I stated a few months ago. Wanted him back, but basically come to mandatory meetings and no media appearances. Given they are moving on assume Rodgers didn't want to.

I agree. If he keeps playing, most people are going to remember the complete failure of his time with the Jets, and probably whatever he does next. He is full of himself, but is certainly among the top 5 QBs to play the game. Better that he go out with at least a memorable last game, including passing the 500 TD pass mark. Along with his other HOF accomplishments, that's a big deal.

It's probably best for him and his legacy to hang it up now. His arm and wits are as sharp as ever, but he can't produce outside the pocket on the run, where he arguably played his best football.

Call it a day Rodgers. Become a part of McAfee's cast, or hang out with the Jeopardy audience. You might find some happiness if you look hard enough. You deserve it, we all do. And thanks for the terrific years you gave us as a Packer.

Thanks weeds for another unique post. You're on a roll.

Looking at the picture, just at his face, it doesn't look like Rodgers, well not to me. I get that this was 20 plus years ago. It's still a fabulous collectors item.

What is familiar is how he is holding the ball, right up against the earhole on his helmet. That's how he played at Cal, and what made me initially believe he wouldn't make it in the NFL.

Well I'm happy to be wrong on all counts. He got some very good coaching about how to play QB in the NFL, the rest is (almost) history. I'm not a huge fan of his antics, but imo he was the best QB in GB franchise history - better than Favre and that's saying a lot. I look forward to seeing his name and number inside the Lambeau HOF ring.

If I were Rodgers I would take a good long look at what the Jets are doing. If he thinks they have fixed the O line and that they have a great defense. I'd stay and play. Or go to a team that he truly thinks can win now. Or hang em up.

If the stories out there are true that they gave him a set of requirements and he wasn't interested then I think that decision was already made for him and they are moving on.

AR is going to take a long look at the Niners and Rams. He wants to go west. If Stafford retires, the WR talent in LA would be enticing. I'd hate to see Rodgers with the Niners. He might still be able to put them over the top because he's probably better than Purdy who's coming off a season marred by some injuries. To make it work without too much consternation, Purdy would have to be unable to go next September. Minus those two potential outcomes, I seriously doubt Rodgers would play for the Giants, Jags or Raiders and hang it up. Those are all rebuilding projects.

From what I have read, the Jets are moving on from Rodgers, so I don't think Rodgers really has much of a say in this. Why are they moving on? New coach, new GM and the $35M roster bonus that Rodgers would get if on the roster.

No matter what though, I am guessing that Rodgers will paint himself as the victim, lick his wounds and take his act to another team. He's a perfect fit for the Cleveland Browns Organization.

I get the impression that the 9rs are going to pay Purdy this year

I predict you will be correct. :)
