Message: <blockquote data-quote="Pokerbrat2000" data-source="post: 726218" data-attributes="member: 7261">I agree with you that our RB situation should be better/deeper this year, but I don't see too big of a change in numbers from last year, when you have AR at QB.  Last year the Packers were 29th in carries and 20th in total rushing yards.  The key stat for the Packers was ave. yards per rush (4.5) which tied them for 7th in the league.  As long as their running game can stick around that number, they should be fine.  For comparison, Tom Brady and the Super Bowl Patriots finished with a 3.9 average (25th).  Only 2 other playoff teams finished ahead of us, Dallas (3rd 4.8) and Atlanta (5th 4.6).The aspect of the running game the Packers have to be careful with is fumbles.  They only lost 3 last year, with 2 of those coming from AR and 1 from Ty.  Some young guys could be getting some carries, gotta hang on to that ball!</blockquote>
