Packers will have over $17 million post Draft, how to use it?

I'd like to see Janis resigned. There's no need to try to fix the defense just to have the special teams take a step back. Janis is probably the best gunner in the league.

There's no reason to re-sign Janis as he's under contract for the 2017 season. Unfirtunately he regressed as a special teamer last season.

Greenbay signed guard Evans since the cap figure was at 16.5 mil(I thought)
Never did hear what Evans is making or for how long...

According to Spotrac the Packers currently have $19.8 million of cap space after signing Evans.

What are we waiting for then!? Let's spend that chiz!!! Lol
I got to go to work, but I will shop online tonight.
I do like the dummerville idea still.
Wish we had spent the 8 mil on Poe. Played him less so he was able to use that rare athletic ability when he was on the field....it would have been great!

Once again, I'm absolutely fine the Packers didn't spend that kind of money on Poe.

The chiefs over played the big man. Just like we overplayed raji. If you and the coaches could get it through their thick skulls that the def line can't be a 2 man front with only 4 deep. Get some big dominant nts on a snap count so they are available when we need them. Like when we play Dallas .

As I've mentioned repeatedly before I'm done explaining to you why it doesn't work to play three down defensive linemen for most of the snaps as you haven't shown any effort in trying to understand it for years.

As a side note I would love to have at least two dominant nose tackles as well but unfortunately they're hard to come by and it's extremely difficult to get even one.

With a ilb replaced by a safety, and two big physical CBs who can man up and actually tackle.... then it's possible.

If you hadn't noticed that's exactly what GB is currently doing.

Wonder if Daniels could do this? LOL....Poe became the heaviest player to ever throw a TD pass in the NFL with this little "dart". Poe is also the heaviest NFL player to ever run for a TD.

He's better than Mike Daniels that's for sure.

Daniels has been a far superior plyer compared to Poe over the past few seasons.

The Packers planning on using a hybrid safety/inside linebacker doesn't make any difference on the number of down defensive linemen the defense will use in nickel or dime.

Unfortunately Kevin King is not a good tackler though hopefully he can improve in that area.

It seems you haven't watched Poe play over the last three seasons but only make up your mind based on name recognition.

Actually not st all. But you can't honestly sit here and tell me that Mike Daniels is more superior to Poe. I like Mike Daniels but Poe is more explosive, quicker, and can play in the 3-4 or 4-3 . He also can get sacks. Daniels doesn't get many pressures or sacks but he's a solid run defender. Nothing to do with "name".

FYI Daniels has had eight sacks over the past two seasons compared to Poe's 2.5 over the same period. There's absolutely no doubt that overall Daniels has been the far better player recently.

You are always the first to reply when I say I want 6 sacks from the nt position. Stating over and over that nt not there to make sacks.... now you want to compare him to Daniels, who had 4 sacks a year average the last two years? From the DE position?

Poe is a beast.

Saying he is better than Daniels is objective. I personally think Poe next to Daniels would bring both their stats up to the top end of what we seen in their short careers...

I think this is a fun scenario: send a mid round pick to NY for Richardson. Keep him on the one year, 8M deal. Let him play motivated to earn a long term deal. Let him walk after a strong season on a good team and let someone else give him a big deal, netting the Packers a mid round comp pick. Final outcome: spend a mid round 2018 pick for one season of a motivated Richardson and a 2019 mid round pick.

Never considered the comp pick.....
That's a deal maker right there.

Geez, Eli, I was only replying to rodell's claim that Poe can accumulate sacks while Daniels can't.

It was said that we offered Hundley for Richardson.....
