I agreed with you then, and I agree even more tonight. We're just not ready yet, and once again I'm going to say it has a lot to do with the youth of the team and lack of veteran leadership.I’d like to think maybe we’d come out on top if we see them in the playoffs but if we can’t get by them when we’re playing their practice squad defense then I dunno.
As I said a few weeks ago we’re at a point in the season where we have a pretty good idea of who we are. A good team that is often underprepared and lacking discipline. We’re better than most teams in the league but I don’t think any of the legitimate “contenders” are particularly afraid of us.
Detroit came out of the tunnel fully prepared and raring to go, and took it to the Packers right from the opening snap. Green Bay wasn't ready for that, and they were off balance and uncertain. By the time they started to click, Detroit had already established themselves as the dominant team. I give Green Bay credit for how hard they tried, but they just came up short.
This is not the year.
