I’d like to think maybe we’d come out on top if we see them in the playoffs but if we can’t get by them when we’re playing their practice squad defense then I dunno.

As I said a few weeks ago we’re at a point in the season where we have a pretty good idea of who we are. A good team that is often underprepared and lacking discipline. We’re better than most teams in the league but I don’t think any of the legitimate “contenders” are particularly afraid of us.
I agreed with you then, and I agree even more tonight. We're just not ready yet, and once again I'm going to say it has a lot to do with the youth of the team and lack of veteran leadership.

Detroit came out of the tunnel fully prepared and raring to go, and took it to the Packers right from the opening snap. Green Bay wasn't ready for that, and they were off balance and uncertain. By the time they started to click, Detroit had already established themselves as the dominant team. I give Green Bay credit for how hard they tried, but they just came up short.

This is not the year.

Detroit offense is pretty much fine like ours. By the end of the game we were rolling a practice squad defense too. Williams, Bullard out and not sure if LVN was back out there.

Game doesn't change in my mind what the Packers can do. Just will need to do it probably from the 6 seed.
I didn’t like losing. But we really can’t be dismissed. We were 1 Lions mistake away. I mean 1.

It was, but still a loss, and that is all that really matters
Maybe. I don’t think we would get a #1 seed. I don’t see that in the math. We are fighting between a 7th and a 5th. That’s it. I’d take any Playoff spot. We get a few players back including our 2nd round TE AND 3rd round RB. That’s really important in January.

Only play I'll crush the refs on was that Love blow to the head. Especially after Lawrence last week. Seemed pretty obvious.
They had that and the shoulder to the head on Wicks. Almost knocked him out. It was 100% intentional look at the replay

That would’ve been 1st n goal from the 3.5

It was an uphill battle for that. Detroit 2-3, Philly 3-2, Us 5-0... Nah.

Right now, odds are #6. Best scenario is #5 or 6 wrapped up in week 16, get a pseudo bye in week 17 while DET and PHI need to play for #1 seed in week 17.

I just feel like a lot of the time we find ourselves playing “reactive” football rather than “proactive”. We win the games we are “supposed” to win, but when faced with an opponent who’s roughly equal or better than us it seems like we generally let them dictate the terms rather than taking the game to them. And it’s great to be able to adjust and put up a fight, but still it often feels like we’re playing from the back foot rather than the front.

This is the same team we have seen for years. Nice ball club, but just not good enough. This defense is same old, same old, same old thing. I’ll say it again, I do not like this DC.

Lions QB 41 attempts, Packers QB 20 attempts and just 1 fewer incompletions - lol
It's what Goff does every week, he is completing 72% of his passes for the season. Love completed 60% today.

Lions won the Time of possession by 12 minutes, had 31 more offensive plays, and kicked a game ending FG, with no time left. What I get from this game is that if things go our way, we can beat this team. They went for it on 4th down, 5 times, no other team does that. The D overall played well, with 3 starting seconday out by games end (Jaire, E Williams, and Bullard)

I will also say I don’t think as good as the Lions have played. I don’t think they are invincible. We just went toe to toe and were really 1 or 2 plays from pulling out a W. Regular season games really mean nothing compared to a playoff spot.
We of anyone should know that getting hot at the correct time is paramount. We’re very much alive in the NFC race. We also have a ton of film in these guys. Plus some players on IR also.
IR and NFI, plus a really good LB and CB resting up.

What I saw was a team that can beat anyone left on our schedule.

Exactly what I said.

Give me more film. A little more time to get Doubs, J’aire, Edgerrin, Musgrave and Lloyd back. I think Lloyd can be a punishing back like Montgomery. He’s in NFI which = 75% he’s coming. Musgrave a little longer but very good chance he’s back before postseason. He was our best TE in 2023 and played superb in Camp. J’aire is J’aire he’s so much better than Stokes. Night n day.

Especially with the injuries stacked up. I'd be restless if I was a Lions fan. With the beat up D they are going the 2011 Packers route. Offense has a misstep in the playoffs and the D is giving up 30+, going to be pretty painful.

After the poor start, 2 punts and a fumble, we scored on 5 of our next 6 possessions ( not counting the 1 play kneel down to end the 1st half).

Main thing is we keep getting better and healthier into the playoffs. Once youre in the playoffs every team has to go undefeated no matter who you play where. Right now we are not the best team in the NFC. We CAN be come year end.

They really had a misstep last week. 23 points won’t cut it against the team that’s hot like Buffalo. Our D is barely in the Top 10. Once we go postseason everyone will be.

They better not call and cheap penalty on us, X gets his helmet knocked off by St Brown on one play, then the next, Nixon held slightly on the blitz, on that TD. If you are going to let them play, you better continue the rest of the game.
Here's the hold on Nixon on the TD pass that wasn't called.

I don’t want to blame it on flags, but I’d say Detroit was +2 on getting help from the refs.
They could’ve easily called Z on Roughing the Passer

Our Offense was mostly to blame. They kept putting our D out there no rest. 36+ minutes. Can’t do that. Offense has to have a few long drives in first half.

Overall good game. We played respectable. I don’t think Detroit is unbeatable right now. We’ll see in Postseason. Good chance we get a 6th and play Detroit again in the Divisional. I’d love to have a Rematch and end their glorious season. I think we’ll match up good in a 3rd meeting.

So this is why Lafleur was upset right before the 2 minute warning. Lions ran the same pick play they called Watson on but refs didn’t call it.

Well watching game replay and only Jacob’s in this first half has been a spark on offense, the rest stink like my outside thrash, stupid penalties again, DB getting passed on all over the place, MLF looking lost, oh dumb challenge also, 2nd half coming up
