Agreed- but for $55M this year and a $75M signing bonus- you think your QB can make a relatively easy throw.
The Packers really only had one full season from Love before signing him to the big contract. He had 30 TD passes that year with a 96 passer rating. Tonight he certainly didn’t play like an elite QB. He accuracy was poor and he finished with a passer rating of 41. We are spoiled after Favre and Rodgers so it‘s tough to be stuck with such a highly paid QB who’s play is a big downgrade from what we’ve had.

Eagles covered the kickoffs perfectly. The only time we got a decent return was because of the illegal block.
It's not just the fumbles, his 15 yd penalty again cost them field position in crunch time. He has 1 good season..find somebody else!

Reed is a playmaker with the ball but regressed significantly over the course of the season and has to be schemed into space.

Wicks runs great routes but his hands are among the worst in the league.

Watson is essentially done for the duration of his contract. It’s tough to count on Doubs for anything as his concussion history gets worse.

Everything else is a ragtag group of #4s. They’re not that young anymore. Reed and Wicks are going into their 3rd seasons in 2025.

WR is definitely needed.
Yep, 100%. We’ve got a lot of guys who have some good potential… if everything goes right and all the planets align and such. But in the words of Bill Parcells… “potential just means you haven’t done anything yet”

More than Reed, too… how many of these guys can we honestly say have improved over the course of the season? How many of them are appreciably better today than they were in August/September?

I feel like last year it was really easy to feel good about how everything ended and feel confident that we’d be back and better next year. I really don’t feel that after this season.

Once again I hope GB management learns from this in the off season, but this sounds like a 6 year broken record, I would like to see management bring in a QB to compete for Loves spot and some of that big contract he got, I don’t think its all guaranteed money, add dept at receiver and Dbacks, maybe get lucky and find a true kick returner a Desmond Howard Jr, and bring in some much needed toughness culture

They always pick 3rd tier dlineman. They need to be more aggressive! They don't need to draft 12 guys...AGAIN!

Letting emotion override logic. The Packers aren't going to bring in QB competition. Love has a 80M+ cap hit in 2025 and 50M+ in 2026. They are tied to him through 2026 regardless.

I'm feeling better about the D after this year more than last year. WR definite downgrade from how I felt last year and I hope that maybe Love just had a season where lingering injuries impacted him the entire season. Some tweaks/add a few key spots and hopefully make 2nd and 3rd year jumps. I'm not jumping on any 'lucky to win a game next year' rants that I'm sure some will go on.

$160 Million guaranteed out of $220M; cap hits are huge through 2029, they added 3 void years but frankly unless he improves the void years may come early.

Every contract can be renegotiated, even guaranteed ones, just have to have a GM willing to try a deal

Love played like ****. Can blame injuries all you want but he made bad decisions pretty consistently all year. The Favre like double coverage throws need to stop. Under threw some key passes tonight.

Not sure what you are renegotiating. He has base salaries of 10M the next 3 years so everything on the cap hit is guaranteed money. There is nothing to renegotiate to drive down the dead money hit. Unless you ask Love to give money back and well.. that's not happening.

So.. not sure what is being renegotiated that will result in there not being massive cap hits the next few years.

In past years both MLF and MM played musical chairs when someone on the line got hurt. Today it was just next man up.
You can only go next man up so far. Philly has one of if not the best DL in the league. We don't have the depth now like we did in the past. Expecting 3rd and 4th string OL who hardly played all year to keep those behemoths at bay is asking a hell of a lot.

Hafley and McNamus were generally high points.

Playcalling is stale. No trick plays? Nothing saved for Postseason? If this Offense gameplan was homework I’d send it back incomplete. Can’t believe we’d repeat the 3rd n 3 play at our GB45! Same EXACT long throw that didn’t work against the Lions. What is it with us and throwing 15+ on 3rd n short??

Didn’t get Mudgrave involved

Didn’t get the RB more involved for +2 +4 type quick passes. When we did Jacobs did good. Terrible utilization of RB TE group past a couple plays to Kraft. Everyone knew this would be a tough D to run up the gut. Where was the outside zone Run?)?

It’s like we purposely threw the game. It was that bad outside a few individual performances. I’m very unimpressed with our gameplan. Stale. Vanilla. Predictable. uninspiring
Trick plays? We had a couple of interesting twists with Kraft taking a direct snap for a first down. I'd prefer the guys actually execute normal plays with regularity.

We are a tad spoiled. Love will never be Favre or Rodgers and he really doesn't have to be. We have the TEs and the RB. Get him a better line and WRs who catch contested passes and we can win with him.

Now that our season is over. Need the Bucs and Rams to win these last two Wild Card games... that would put us picking #22 vs #24, I believe, as Washington and Minnesota both had better records than us. Since we beat the Rams, that might put them ahead of us if they lose.

I feel differently. We have the makings of a nice defense. Get some secondary help and another pass rusher and it will be fun to watch.

We have the RB and TEs. Improve the OL and get receivers who will go and get passes that aren't perfect or contested we are in pretty good shape.

Yup, he needs to play like Goff, rely on the running game, take what you can in the passing game, and minimize turnovers.

I agree on the Defense, Hafley getting another FA, and Draft to get more guys for his system, will improve the Defense even more. The sky is not falling!!!

Yes, but I'll be surprised if the Rams beat MN tomorrow. Washington looks pretty good so far tonight.

By the time we are drafting the good DL prospects are gone. I don't want Gute reaching there.
DL Kenneth Grant 6'3" 339lbs, and will most likely run a sub 5 40 time, out of Michigan, along with EDGE rusher Jack Sawyer (Ohio St) will most likely be late 1st rd picks.
