I think that move in 2014 (moving CM3 Inside) after the Bye was brilliant because it got both Perry and Peppers on the field at the same time. Our D ranking improved down the stretch after a tough start.. averaging just 19 points per game D scoring allowed.
Defense gave up 34 points and over 400 yards of offense to the Lions. To make matters worse they couldn't get off the field enough so the Packer offense only ran a measly 44 plays.
And all those fourth downs the Lions converted, those were painful. Watching the game, I kept thinking that Detroit made it look so easy when they were marching down the field, like it was effortless. The Packers moved the ball too, but it looked like more of a battle.
OUR offense has to light it up more like we have done against lesser opponents by moving the chains and giving THEM less time on the field. The Watson fumble derailed that. We forced two punts and then held them to 3. But when you go from one score to two score in a game it starts putting a lot on your D. In the first Lion game Detroit played more conservatively due to the elements and ran the ball to move the sticks and the clock. Goff played extremely well this time except for that one INT.
