Evans played for Virginia Tech last season completing 63.5% of his passes while throwing for 3,552 yards, 29 touchdowns and eight interceptions while rushing for another 846 yards and 12 TDs. He was named ACC newcomer of the year in 2016 after transferring from Trinity Valley Community College. He went undrafted this season and spent time on the Eagles roster during the offseason.
