They sounds about right that they would play on Saturday, cant have a team playing on 5 days rest. I have a bowling tournament on Sunday the 19th, so the game would set up perfectly for that set up.

Three hours of my life wasted.
What was really disappointing was that after the 55 yarder by McManus there was this euphoria by our young team as if the game was over. This is when coaches have to step. Let them know that the game is not won. We have 48 seconds to stop this team. Scream and holler if need be. Get the focus going.

After Starr made his Ice Bowl TD it was obvious that the Packers would win BUT Lombardi knew they had to kick off and stop one more play. And they did. Coaching never takes victory until it happens.

Yeah a 55 yard FG at Lambeau with the temp maybe in the teens - well that was just a huge kick. And it was a line drive and that requires a lot of leg strength.

But your point on "it's not over until it's over" is right. MLF lost focus on the clock and called a TO way too soon, well three seconds too soon. Funny things can happen at the "end" of a game.
