I'm not convinced this is a huge game for playoff implications for us. Yes, 5th seed is out there, but if we beat the Vikings and the Lions beat the 49ers then Lions clinch #1 seed. Are they really going to go all out next week against the Vikings? I have my doubts.

Not to mention if you desire to not play the Rams in rd 1, fairly decent chance the Rams are the #4 seed. If they clinch today they are most likely going to sit players too. Atl/TB win out they are the 3 seed I believe.

So at the end of the day really #6 seed seems the most likely.

It will be a fun game, but I'm not gnashing my teeth over concerns about seeding. This is way more important for the Vikings for seeding than us.
I kind of disagree with you here. Seeding definitely does matter and the Rams currently hold the #3 seed and if they win at home against the Seahawks next week, they stay there.

I can 100% guarantee you that the Packers will be playing all out to win this game and if they have a shot at a higher seed, next weeks game against the Bears as well.

I never said they weren't going to try to win this week or next week.

I just think all the factors seem to suggest them being at the 6 seed regardless of the outcome of this game. The biggest being if they win and the Lions win then I think the Lions throttle it down somewhat next week. Same with the Rams.

I'm starting to feel like I'm the only one who hates the queens here, mostly kidding but still concerned. I honestly wouldn't feel too bad if half their roster dropped. I hope all the bad things happen to them and noone else. I've run into some nice queens fans (I can't hate them), but I probably wouldn't even feel bad if they lost their franchise permanently.

Whew, with that being said, we really need this win, we want to keep the momentum going into the playoffs and make everyone extremely scared to play us in the playoffs.

I'd rather the Lions or Bears win back to back Super Bowls than the Vikings even just get to one. Basically the Bears are Greg Brady, the Packers Peter, the Lions Bobby and the Vikings are essentially Cousin Oliver.

Half of my wishes for today has been granted. The Cowboys got their arses handed to them by the Eagles, 41-7. The more they lose, the happier I am. Living down here in Cowboys country now, I've gotten so tired to them acting like they own the NFL, and that they're the team that America loves over everyone else. Watching Jerry Jones come unglued because the Packers get the prime-time exposure, and they don't is fantastic!

Now all we have to do is beat the Vikings today, and I will have had a great weekend!

Never won a SB. But we need them as a rival in Minnesota.

I mostly understand that, but I look at the Bears, as that has always be our oldest rivals. I look as a team that we got stuck with in the division. I honestly like picking on the Bears and lack of a 4,000 yard passer.

Sure and that’s fine I respect you offering your opinion. You’ve actually solidified my opinion even more because nobody is switching teams Sunday Afternoon! :roflmao:

Just to be clear I was responding to this post above by you. You claimed you preferred those 2 over our 2 guys at this point and we have a game Sunday. No offense but switching teams isn’t even in my small brain.
Your favorite grouping of those 2 players you like over my 2 Packers might blow us up on Sunday, but GB wins by spreading the ball around. It’s just a different concept but it’s obviously successful? We do have a higher ranked O in yards and points than MN. I think that’s telling because MN is very good on O

The reason I mentioned doubling Jefferson is Outside of Jefferson we have a better group of 6-7 weapons and it’s close but definitely NOT leaning Vikings. Our players are very similar and Id even submit outside of JJ we’re playing better. If we can hold JJ to 6X85 or less I’d call that a Win.

Oddly, If anything? I’d offer its the MN DEFENSE that has upperhand over our DEFENSE. Their Defense wins them most games imo. Ours is surging but needs a signature performance. Hopefully we can slow them down or get them off their mojo.
It figures. Darnold decides to spread the ball around against the Pack.

Yes, their defense is the deciding factor. The fumble. The 4th down stop. The other stop inside the 10 yard line. The 3 and outs. They are by no means the 85' Bears but in today's NFL they are very good. That may be the difference in next week's battle in Detroit although the Lions could have an edge at kicker.

I think the KC Chiefs have the most underrated defense in the league especially at crunch time.
