Has there been any more rumblings about this since the Browns GM shot it down?

The truthful stuff tends to be end of season or just after the season. I'd expect that they've been working the lines on Odell since the season ended. Wouldn't be surprised if he's traded tonight or tomorrow.

There are no free lunches. If you went the route I described there would be nearly $10 mil in dead cap in 2021.
Exactly. The piper always gets paid. I’m not a big fan of pushing money back in a contract for cap reasons. It’s like borrowing more than you can afford to borrow. Either way, I don’t see the Queens making the deal. OBJ will remain Cleveland’s problem (among other problems in Cleveland.....).

That’s interesting. So it would only cost them $4 plus mil in cap to get OBJ this year.

Any team acquiring OBJ would take a $14 million cap hit for the 2020 season with his current contract. With $11.15 million of his base salary fully guaranteed since March 20th there's not a lot of wiggle room to reduce that number for this year either.

the queens need to sign him and get TO out of retirement....Bad moon proved to be a hell of a decoy so young gunslinger could work his magic to freeman et al...good memories

Didn't look like a decoy on the first play of the super bowl...and the Packers never lost a game with Rison, 8-0.

Thanks for the update. I guess the point is moot after the draft last night.
