Yes it's that time again for my American
friends. It's time to gorge on turkey and football, followed by the Black Friday sales mayhem, and more football. Then more NFL football on Sunday and Monday.
Make those picks before Thursday's tryptophan stupor makes you too woozy. As if the Giants Cowboys game won't make you woozy enough.:sleep:However, (hopefully) things get better when the Dolphins take on the Packers at Lambeau for the late game.

All are welcome to play, and good luck to all!

Guess the score of each team of each game...
Each game you pick the correct winner of: 5 points
If you pick correctly on at least half the games scheduled for the week earns a 20 points bonus
If you pick correctly on at least 75% of the games earns a 40 point bonus (plus the previous 20 points).
If you get all but one of the games correct nets 100 bonus points (plus the 20 & 40 from above)
Guess right on all the games and enjoy an additional 150 points (plus the previous 20, 40 & 100)
And ..... If you guess the correct winner and score of any game: 125 bonus points tacked on for each correct game.
If you've got incredibly mad skills and happen to guess every correct score of every game: you get a mega jackpot of 5000 points.

A full slate of 16 games to pick scores and winners for. Good luck!

Cool. I never saw them in concert as I was only 11 or 12 back then. They are from Canada, and very popular here. My favorite of their stuff is, Let It Ride.
Of course Randy Bachman came from another Canadian group, the Guess Who. Saw them also. I recall during one concert that Styx played as the first act. But during the BTO performance most of the crowd stayed on their feet. So high energy and loud. Lot of singing. You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet. Rollin' Down the Highway. It was the age of 8 tracks.

The first album I ever bought was an 8 track tape, McCartney & Wings, Band on the Run. Saw Styx in '77 or '78. Had a fair number of albums on 8 track, as that was what you could listen to in the car. Recall happy times as a high school senior graduating in 1980. By then it was Tom Petty, Damn the Torpedoes and the Eagles, The Long Run in the 8 track player. After that I switched to a cassette player for my first car.

Styx was from the South Side of Chicago. It was a tremendous time for album rock in the 70s and 80s. In the 50s and 60s it was the era of 2:25 second 45s. Quite a change. FM radio surpassed AM radio.
