Packers sign Dean Lowry to a contract extension. No numbers yet.
I wrote a paragraph complimenting his play just yesterday or the day before. This is one more reason to believe Daniels will not be extended.Good move.
I think Daniels has a pretty good year, playing for a contract from someone else. Things can change, but right now we have a good chunk of quality youth on the interior of that DL. I don't foresee a big chunk of change for a 3rd contract on an aging big guy.I wrote a paragraph complimenting his play just yesterday or the day before. I'm still not ruling out a Daniels trade before the season starts.I think Daniels has a pretty good year, playing for a contract from someone else. definitely not out of the question. if some younger guys come on like lancaster last year and he continues to show growth in the preseason, it becomes a lot more likely. Wouldn't surprise me, but to maximize i think teams are going to want to see Daniels perform after that injury.I'm still not ruling out a Daniels trade before the season starts.

i doubt it. why trade a guy who's going to try his damnedest to have a good/great year and a chance at one more good contract (even though it won't be with the Packers)? that could make him a real difference maker for the Packers this year.I'm still not ruling out a Daniels trade before the season starts.
You might be surprised. Injuries might lead another team to be interested in a trade. Daniels is not the caliber of player to be involved in a trade-and-extend given his age and coming off injury.I don't think Daniels gets traded. He only has one year left on a contract, that most teams would probably view as overpaying him. Only way he gets traded is if his contract is redone to a multi year deal and less money/year. Mike is worth hanging onto, he was injured much of last year, a team leader and still has gas in his tank.
I'm not seeing Daniels as a difference maker. Ending 2018 on IR, 30 years old, and he was not very impactful last season before he was injured. I don't see getting $7.6 mil in value out of him this season. He'll be 31 next season; he's not playing for some big contract after this season.i doubt it. why trade a guy who's going to try his damnedest to have a good/great year and a chance at one more good contract (even though it won't be with the Packers)? that could make him a real difference maker for the Packers this year.
never mind. loli doubt it. why trade a guy (daniels) who's going to try his damnedest to have a good/great year and a chance at one more good contract (even though it won't be with the Packers)? that could make him a real difference maker for the Packers this year.
Seems like the rest of our free agents. 2nd contract 25 year olds. Overpaid for a player who hasn't broke out(yet). Good injury history...
Can't say I like 7mil a year... Too much imo.
Can't let daniels go until we spend some high picks on dline. Imo.
