Yeah. I think we'll cut him and try to hang on to Bryant. Randall's looking like a useful replacement for old Soapy Mits

I actually think Jerry signs AD. He's mentioned in the past he wants Peterson on his team and this is his chance.

I hated the call and wish that it had not been overturned (yes, the rule was applied correctly but I wish the rule was different). I watch the playoffs for great plays and that, had the Cowboys gone on the Super Bowl, would have gone down as one of the best receptions in history. However a silly rule takes that away. Fans didn't have the chance to see the defense try to make a stand or watch Aaron Rodgers go on arguably the most important drive of his career.

You told Lions fans to "Get over it" regarding last weekends bad calls. Well, the same thing applies to you, so "Get over it"

The better team won. Go home and enjoy your 8-8 season next year. Romo and Witten's window of opportunity is getting mighty small.

Dallas says robbery, ok here are just a few NFL criminal offenses, (1) the tuck rule (2) INT in enzone called a TD (3) a pass Interference call,( judge Jerry Jones) called his stripped officers and pardoned the offender, and (4) Dez Bryants catch (NOT) it's and incomplete pass (STUPID), someone tell me that if Jordy or Randall had done the same thing wouldn't the Dallas CryBoys tell everyone one what the rules say, oh and by the way if they made that a completed catch, should the officials have called a 15 yard penalty on Dez for (once again) being on the field for not have his helmet on that would have put the ball on the 16 yard line instead of the 1 yard line.....

Hey there gee willykers. I think that we got lucky that Claay didnt get a penalty for roughing the QB. He sure looked like he was going for the guys knees .. criminey

here's another take: consider if, when Dez caught the ball, instead of falling and the bar jarring loose for that split second, the defender poked the ball out of his hands as he leaned out. would they have ruled it fumble or incomplete?

I believe that would be called incomplete 100 times out of 100, which is why it has to be incomplete in this case.

What if Dez would have bobbled it and it flew up into the stands and caught by a fed ex guy who immediately stuffs it in a box and mails it to the south endzone of cowboy stadium and this morning dez gets the package opens it up and completes the reception with the ball never touching the ground? What if then he takes a step to throw the box away, trips and falls and the ball bounces from his hand bit didn't touch the ground because there was an extra layer of chalk so technically it still didn't touch the ground . . .

Sorry, that's about the only new angle I can put on this. I think this dead horse will be beat no more - by me at least.

There's a lot up for interpretation here. One could argue that Dez catches the football and is regaining his balance only to be tangled up/tripped up by the defender. It could be viewed as a catch and a tackle. In other words he would have easily scored if it were not for the defender taking away the "going to the ground" theory.

Well, it's a rule that some like and some don't but, it was not a poor call.

I'm just happy that MM finally threw that little red flag and got it right this time.

Below is a link to an article where a NFL ref explains why the Dez Bryant call was correct and some still photos from an angle I don't remember seeing in the replays while watching the game.

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on...ns-why-dez-bryants-catch-was-ruled-incomplete

"But Cowboys coach Jason Garrett didn't mince words; he said the call had no bearing on the outcome."

I quoted the article which paraphrased Garrett.

The rule includes consideration for contact by the defender in that it is irrelevant. Bryant never regained his balance and went to the ground subsequent to making the catch. There's nothing there to interpret.

Just spent an hour trawling the internet, reading people's opinions. Seems pretty split on the Dez catch.
But I'm now consigning it to history.
I've just booked a bunch of seats for the Superbowl at a bbq bar in Fulham (SW London), going with a bunch of Saints, Rams and a Dolphins fan. None of our teams are going to be playing but there's going to be beer and barbequed meat and I intend to see the season out in style.

My original prediction of the cows scoring around 30 and pack scoring in the 20's could of been very close to accurate... We were underestimated by your fanbase and you know it and I know it, the CJ rule shouldn't apply to dez's catch. He possessed the ball and made many steps and a lunge.. It's a bad rule, and will be changed just because of this play no doubt. The pack was gifted a free reception at the end of the half that led to score. The play has been looked at and the ball did indeed hit the ground... There is no doubt, the cows made too many mistakes and lost on their own issues.. But make no mistake about it, the cows came to your field and nearly spanked the living daylights out of you... If the cowboys scored a touchdown, and they would of, it would of been up to rogers heroics to win the game and even though you guys moved the ball well there is no guaretees he can come back with the momentum swing... That fumble by Murray is where the everything swung in your favor ... The bounces when your way on Sunday that is just the way it unfolded..

The Cowboys played well. They are a very good team. The Packers had to earn it and that makes the victory taste all the sweeter.

Yes they are a goodteam, but I put it to you, had Rodgers been 100% healthy we would have buried the Cowboys.

Be mad about the RULE...not about the CALL. The call was correct in regards to the rule. Complain about the rule, not the call.

Rule....call...rule..call...
I believe that it is a solid rule and that the NFL will keep it going in to the future.

By posting this crap, yo
The packers season started with a loss in Seattle and it will end with a loss in Seattle.

Just imagine Arron Rodgers calf instead of the turkey.

I'm not being a troll either. I no longer have a horse in this race. With the way GB and Dallas played today neither would have a chance in Seattle. They are simply on another level right now and healthy playing at home.

Green Bays only chance is to get a nice lead and run run run.

Posting this crap shows that you truly are a troll.

Look around the Internet, there are plenty of non Cowboys fans calling it a catch. Even some Eagles

You can call it whatever you want to. By the rule it was incomplete. Not a good rule I agree, but it was not a catch.

To summarize, "My prediction would have been right if this and this and this and this all happened."

The Cowboys lost, but "nearly spanked the living daylights out of" the Packers

Are you sure you were watching the actual playoff game yesterday and not a replay of Packers vs. Cowboys in the 90s?
