It did not come as a surprise that they are going to change the gameday scheme and as it's only 5 games on a Monday I'm fine with it. I expected a worse schedule, for example from Thursday to Monday and this frequently.
But of course a Monday game will be difficult for away fans to travel to.
The problem is the DFL is trying to close the gap between the EPL, Primera Division and Bundesliga regarding TV money.
And as there is the new "No Single Buyer Rule" in place I assume it will be more difficult to achieve the goals financially if you don't have exclusive rights to offer in return for a single partner. My guess is that they are going to sell the Monday games to different partner than the usual Friday/Saturday/Sunday games.
Of course I'd like to keep up the Saturday 15.30 hrs kickoff times that I grew up with, but it's not realistic anymore. On the positive side is the fact that the Bundesliga still has the most affordable ticket prices of all European top leagues.

I absolutely adore Monday Night football in any shape or form.

btw... The prevailing wisdom is that if you lost money betting on the weekend... DO NOT try to make it back on the Monday night game. :D

Pulisic scores his first goalin the bundesliga, which makes him the 4th youngest of all time. This kid has potential. Was a pretty one too.

Stuttgarter Kickers - Kollektives Versagen

---
(this is about as miserable as it gets... excepting insolvency of course. I don't think I can bear any more of the Regionalliga... moan... gripe... ).

Or insolvency in the 5th division in my case. But a new club will be created.

I found this headline, Kollektives Versagen, both damning and strangely amusing at the same time. There's probably nothing I'd dislke more than to be called a Versager.

I guess even Absteiger is better than that.

Dortmund dealt a blow for tomorrow's match, as Aubameyang has been ruled out with a toe injury.

Similarly, Ribery is doubtful to start after picking up a foot knock during a challenge in practice.

Well Vidal got away with a dive, no doubt about that.

Other than that, not a lot of note in that match.

Well the Cup-semifinal yesterday imo clearly showed that the Bayern players are relly tired. So many stupid little errors you usually not see in their game.

Bremen played really well, especially 10min in the 2nd half when they had a lot of ball possession and almost scored. For the record I think Fin Bartels clearly played foul against Alaba on that own goal, so imo 100 % correct that the ref called foul. The dive of Vidal was just bad and unsportsmanlike and ended the good run of Werder Bremen. I can understand the Vidal jumps up because the Werder-defender comes at him with full speed and both feet fully strechted, so he obviously wants to avoid a serious injury if he gets hit while he is standing on the ground, BUT he did not get even the slightest touch and could have stood up, walked to the ref and told him it was no penalty. That would have been great and fans all around the world would have given their respect to him.

As a Bayern-supporter this was very unsatisfying to watch but the interviews of Werder and Bayern-players & officials were great after the game. I hope Bayern fines Vidal internal and sends a message to the other players that this behaviour is not wanted in this club.

I think Bayern won the sportsmanship award when they were under Jupp Heynckes. That display by Vidal was awful. Robben gets tagged for simulation a lot, but if you watch Ribery, he does it a lot too and knows how to get away with it. I'm not too pleased with players who simulate. Yet as Nessie said a long time back, most teams do it. That's why a lot of folks said they like watching Womens Football; because they don't fall to turf as often and act like they've been shot when there is contact.

Of course in every team there are some players who tend to dive but as it is with Bayern they are on TV a lot in primetime so obviously players like Robben present themselves to a huge crowd in a bad way. I don't perceive Ribery as a Diver, he is a hothead and gets away sometime with some questionable assaults against his opponents when he gets angry for being tackled.

Why should anyone torture himself? :D

I'd feel worse about it if it had actually changed the outcome of the game. As it stands, Bremen only took one more shot, and it wasn't even close to the goal. Could it have been different? We'll never know. I hate the dive, hate it, but it doesn't sully the win for me because Bayern were already up 1, and Bremen had only one shot on target the entire night. Was a strangely defensive game by both sides.
