That was cool. Cologne Cathedral is one of the most majestic places I have ever personally seen. When I walked up the steps of the subway and looked up and up and up in the shadow of those spires, it took my breath away. Then when I went inside it was even more amazing. I wouldn't mind seeing that again.

I'd like to see it a first time! We didn't make a trip to Cologne when I was over.

This was Sunday morning in Cologne....

This is a ritual done very year... sometimes several times per year depending on important games. Been in there many times and I think its awesome the fans get to have a service with the pipe organ... and quite perhaps many people are "praying for a win"... hehe.

But I love seeing how the church really feels the football team is so important to the community.

Ironic that they tied on Sunday....tied in so many ways....

Correct. A bit interesting that the stadium isn't even in Hoffenheim. Really actually located in nearby Sinsheim. I think it might be the only stadium like this. If there are other, I am unaware of it.

Serge Gnabry set to join Bayern and then be immediately loan out to Werder Bremen.

http://www.espnfc.com/story/2940579...nich-and-move-to-werder-bremen-on-loan-father

Deal isn't done yet though, and some outlets report Arsenal is still trying to give him a new deal to get him to stay.

Looks like Bayern has stepped out and it will now be a direct transfer from Arsenal to Bremen. This is probably best for the health of the league, IMO.

Hard for me to say this but I think this might be a good transfer for Bremen. :cautious::sick:
However, we signed a new left back, Brazilian Olympic Games champion Douglas Santos.
And "uncle Kuhne" is paying for him, even his salaray :cautious:

You probably already know, but I was reading today that Ancelloti favors Julian Green as Lewy's backup.

I hadn't heard that, but I'd love to see Julian get good playing time during the regular season.

Muller is always there for backup, but Ancelloti apparently likes using Muller for the feeder. He likes keeping Robben, Ribery, Coman, and Costa on the outside, leaving Green as the next man up. Ancelloti had high praise for Green.

I'm gonna have to watch the Bayern match later. We are going to be out looking at a potential house purchase during the match. These business people in the U.S. STILL don't realize it's Bundesliga time! Capitalists...sheesh.

You're buying a new house?! Well, as a potential customer you should have demanded an appointment that suits your football schedule ;)
Btw - still 0-0. S04, die Scheisse aus dem Revier, hope Bayern kicks their butts.

Bayern has had the possession, but Schalke has had the better chances to score. Should've had that one close-up and should be 1:0

I kinda like Schalke (Fan Friendship with FC Nurnberg who I like since they are Frankisch)... who just hit the post. Would've been a great goal.

That's what happens when you drink Veltins Bier. Better stick to Koelsch and you won't puke.

Well it was gritty and dirty but Bayern pulled it off.

My thoughts: Sanches is not ready to start for Bayern. He needs to learn to play futbol the way Bayern does and not think he is the only person on the pitch.

Kimmich is so mature already. Crazy. Really like that kid, great addition for Bayern and for Germany.

Huntelaar going down took the teeth out of Schalke, and that was what pushed it over the edge. They played really well for 80 minutes, just couldn't keep it together for the last 10.

Agree on Sanchez. He had one nice steal and he forced a corner, but other than that, Schalke kept taking him to school. Naldo is a beast for Schalke. They played an awesome match.

I think the turning point was putting Costa in and taking Sanchez out to be replaced by Kimmich. Alonso looked off his game today as well.

Alonso only had 54 touches when he was taken off, which is unheard of for him. I thought Ribery looked off too, he had several chances in the box he normally would have capitalized on but he looked lost when he got there.
