Family Guy took a shot at Favre (among others) on Sunday. Peter's boss told him he wanted him to give Brett Kavenaugh a tour of the brewery.
Peter: "Brett Ratner?"
Boss: "No, that's Brett Ratner"
Peter: "Brett Favre?"
Boss: "No, that's a different scumbag Brett".

It's hard to imagine that Gastineau has a case here.
He's probably desperate.

You won't find this on Google, but my AI program reports that he has a net worth of only about $200K. His early retirement, his brutal series of major health issues, and a huge divorce settlement wiped him out, and his health expenses are ongoing.

During his career, he apparently never hired a financial planner, or did any longterm investing. His wealth management strategy was apparently just go down to the bank every month and cash his check. He tries to generate income now with personal appearances, memorabilia sales, and autograph signings, but nobody really seems interested.

If he can get ESPN to settle for even a fraction of that, it could be a life saver for him. I know he's not very well-liked, and that he has nobody to blame but himself (and in his mind, maybe Favre), but I can't help feeling sorry for him. It's awfully sad. Happens way too often.

If he can't get a settlement, how much is he going to lose in court and lawyer fees? Unless they're taking the case for free with an agreement to split any winnings.

It's all about trying to stay relevant, by playing the victim card, for Gastineau. He feels he was cheated once (sack record) and he is thus "owed". Really a sad way to go through life. His lawyers are probably laughing all the way to the bank.

Gastineau should go after this site, Pro-Football Reference, they didn't even include a picture of him with the list of single season sack leaders!

I wouldn't say his attorney is laughing to the bank quite yet, as I'd bet dollars to donuts that this case was taken up on contingency.
