It's worth noting during the 8 game winning streak, the defense has actually been solid.

It had rough quarter late at Chicago. Then a tough time with Dallas, but just about every team had a hard time vs Dallas.

Their reputation and common perception of them are a lot worse than their recent play has been.

They were playing some drops of TT speaking today on the big unit's show and there has got to be something wrong with him. He is just mumbling nonsense....like the 3 words he said had very little relation to eachother.

I think it would be cool if Thompson notified Murphy and then publicly announces his resignation the day after the victory parade in Green Bay.

Which parade, the one after this season or wait until the other one after next season? ;)

Lol, this season. I've said all along that we'd be drafting 32nd this next draft. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.:)

Perhaps they both preferred to hire their own coach without owner meddling. Or, to get a raisefrom the Packers.
Guessing all 3 issues played-into it (raise, meddling owner, total control). Both are now potential future GM candidates and are on the "NFL-radar"... just a matter of where and when.

IF Dorsey comes back when TT departs KC will be searching for a GM.

How can that be? We all know he's one of the planet's greatest orators. (Tic)

Wonder if he has his water bottle with him during radio interviews.

It's likely the Chiefs would promote director of football operations Chris Ballard to general manager if Dorsey decides to take the job in Green Bay.

The Bills are interviewing Packers director of player personnel Brian Gutekunst for their vacant general manager job.

In case anybody is interested, the Bills GM job will be similar to Seattle's where the new head coach McDermott will have significant say on personnel in what looks like a multi-year build-through-the-draft approach. Unfortunately, that would seem to be a fit for a guy in his first GM job. Selling tickets was a motivation in the Ryan hire. It looks like the Pegulas are now concerned with winning.

The interview would start off like this:

So Brian, you learned under Ted Thompson. Tell me, have you ever heard of free agency?

It seems like most of the NFL wants to be like Green Bay - Ted's underlings keep getting interviews.

That's hardly surprising as the Packers have been successful over Thompson's tenure as well as Schneider, Dorsey and McKenzie have a pretty decent record as general managers with their respective teams.

Yes, there's a definite pattern there.....
