Bill Huber is reporting Rojesterman Farris is out.

Dexter is the only "suprise" possibility for any of us so far.

Well @OldSchool101 didn't get his wishlist

Anyway, wasn't really a surprise. I figured only way Williams was staying was if they wanted him as a KR. Didn't really do much else that P Taylor couldn't do.

I think if we keep 4 backs (doubt it myself) on 53, Dexter could be brought back to PS, but I like you think they try to put Taylor on it.

Wow Ben Braden, that one actually is a shocker

Depending what they do with Bahk (active or PUP) and whether we keep 9 or 10 OL I firmly believe and predicted between Braden, Nijiman, Van Lanen the final 1 or 2 spots will go.

Time will tell if I'm wrong or right though!

Yeah appears to be reliable

Well ... Yeah I admit I'm disappointed, but we all knew there was probably little likelihood we were going to get him.

Well, gonna have to watch the waiver wire now and hope somehow he goes unclaimed

He likely will. Most teams have a their own Benkert that they want on the PS to develop/just in case.

Well, might have thought the same about Taysom Hill. That unfortunately didn't work out. But yeah, we get him there and everyone should be happy.

Capra added per one source - no surprise and I should probably bold but will await confirmation from another source.

Benkert played all out, and deserves to be one somebody's practice squad. Hopefully the Packers can bring him back, as I don't like having two QBs with no third option.
We see this every season, the QB that should have made the team because of flashing some potential in preseason against backups. In my short memory the only guy they messed up on was Taysom Hill. However, that was mainly because the Saints found a better use for him as a gadget player and a solid #2 QB. I would like to have Benkert back, but if some other team signs him to their 53, which I highly doubt, then so be it. If the Packers get to the point where a Benkert is needed to play, chances are the Packers are in deep trouble anyway.

Not to derail the thread but the Taysom Hill cut 4 years ago was a risk, but he was also a 27 yr. old rookie so TT felt somewhat confident he'd slide thru waivers. IMHO it's usually better keeping an extra position player vs. a 3rd QB at cut-down.

I could easily see 5 of the current 9 on the PS tomorrow: Benkert, Braden, Ento, Galeai (needs 15-20 lbs of muscle), & Uphoff.
